  1. No, I didn't figure it out after all.. Here's the project file with the track stack problem. I appreciate it if you can have a look at it. Thanks David! Mikko Mikko Trackstack problem.zip
  2. I think I figured it out. It needs to have either audio tracks or software instrument tracks, but not both. What I mean is that now it loads correctly when I load a patch that has 2 audio tracks in it, because that was the state I saved it in. But If I create a track stack that has an audio track and an instrument track, then it won't load any of the plugins or sends... Regardless, I should probably delete my preferences at some point..
  3. absolutely, will send it you. Many thanks David!
  4. Hey David Yes, summing track. It contains only audio tracks. Any suggestions what I should do/try? Thanks! Mikko
  5. Hi David, I hope you're well. I'm coming back to this topic briefly (after a long time.. I know! I haven't been able to save a track stack setting as you described. I was able to save it with my custom sends and plugins but at the same time Logic saves whatever tracks are in the track stack.. So in other words, if I save a track stack that has two tracks in it -> the next time I create a track stack with 10 tracks in it and load the saved patch, it deletes the 8 tracks and leaves me with only two tracks. Also, it renames the tracks to whatever names I had in the saved patch. So I'm a bit lost here.. Also, it's unclear to me where I should save the patch? Under channel strips or Patches? Thanks again David! Mikko
  6. Hi Is there a way to save a custom setting for a track stack? So every time I create a track stack it would have a default set of plugins and sends (just like I can save a custom channel strip as a default) Thanks! Mikko
  7. Hi I wonder if this is just me.. The new update won't load any busses from my default audio channel strip. I just got this to work in the previous version... arrrgh It loads plugins alright, but doesn't load any preconfigured busses. We went through this with David before, and I did get it to work how I wanted it. But now whenever I load a new audio track I need to go click the busses manually again, which is super frustrating Thanks Mikko
  8. Hey David Sorry for the late reply. Yes, "load default patch" is selected. And I have saved my user channel strip settings now many times. It loads the correct plugins alright, just not the correct busses. Do you have any idea what this might be? Also, any idea why I can't save a plugin setting as "save as default"? It's greyed out. Many thanks David Mikko
  9. Hi I hope everyone is healthy and safe... I'm having this weird problem: when creating a new track (audio or midi, doesn't matter) from my default template, it does not set correct busses, instead it sets the busses 10 numbers earlier. In other words, my default busses are starting from numbers 33 and up: 33 room - 34 plate - 35 hall and so on, all the way up to 40. Instead the newly opened track has busses starting from 23 and up, and they are of course empty. This is driving me nuts. Also, I cannot seem to save a plugin setting as "save as default". Both of these problems are new. I recently got a new 16 inch Mac (with Catalina of course) and and these problems have arisen since then. I have trashed logic preferences to no help. any suggestions? Many thanks
  10. Cool. Yeah I have my project files backed up regularly but I’ve been looking into the cloud storage option too. Any recommendations?
  11. I would still be interested to hear the reasoning behind this approach!
