  1. Hi I'm a long-term Mainstage user and was wondering if Logic Pro for iPad would allow me to do the following as a pseudo Mainstage, and if so, which would be the best iPad for the job: Have around 20 Midi Instrument channel strips, each with an instance of Chord Trigger. Ability to select channel strips via Midi PC or CC from an external Midi foot controller so that for each "song", i can record ready arm two channel strips Ability for each channel strip to send the Midi info post Chord Trigger to an external Midi instrument/device Use Jam Origin Midi Guitar as the controller source for each channel strip. Import Logic Sampler Instruments from Logic Pro for Mac. Midi I/O via some kind of interface Lowest Latency possible
  2. Yep. Interesting that as you add samples, the voices don't automatically increase. I'm sure there's a reason for that.
  3. Solved. I didn't have my voices set to 25 as there a total of 25 samples being used. Works perfectly now.
  4. Hi all I've made a multi output Sampler Instrument in EXS24 on Logic 9 for a kick drum. All Zones are triggered by C1. I've got 5 mics (3 mono mics and 2 stereo mics), and 5 samples per mic. Zones 1-5 are the 5 samples of the 1st mic. Zones 6-10 are the 5 samples of the 2nd mic etc etc. Sample 1 of each mic is grouped to Group 1. Sample 2 of each mic is grouped to Group 2 etc etc. Round Robbin is set up so that Group 1 triggers Group 2, and Group 2 triggers Group 3 etc. Total of 5 groups. Each mic goes to it's own output from the EXS24 so that each mic can go to it's own bus. The groups move correctly from 1-5 and so on, but the issue i've got is that on every 4th hit, the first 4 mics get muted/cut off and only the 5th mic is audible. So if you picture a cycle of groups/hits on the C1 key, I get 1,2,3, mute, 5,1,2 ,mute, 4, 5, 1, mute, 3,4,5 mute, 2,3,4, mute. I'm sure i must have set something wrong somewhere but i'm not sure why it's behaving this way. If i remove 1 shot for all the samples, the issue goes away, but if i then use a sustain pedal or adjust release to be long, the problem comes back. Strange that only the 5th mic never gets muted.
  5. I'm running Logic 9 on a 2013 Macbook Pro and on a recent project, i get strange glitches in the display when i try and scroll up or down, or left or right. The audio still runs fine but eventually i'm left with a blank screen and Logic crashes. I have 8GB of RAM. Could this be the issue? The project doesn't have an excessive amount of plugins, but does have several tracks in groups with phase locked audio, and several tracks going to the same buses. Changing buffer settings doesn't seem to do much. I also tried creating a new blank project, and imported everything from the suspect project and this worked for a while, but eventually behaves the same way. Any ideas on what this might be?
  6. Lovely...although in Logic 9 i don't see the ability to route samples to my existing buses. If i choose any of the available outputs from the drop down menu in EXS24, these don't appear in the mixer. I'm guessing this might be something to do with the environment. I prefer Logic 9 for certain things which is why i like to have both versions available for different projects. @fuzzfilth beautifully put..and it shows that there's a gap in the market for a plugin that could make all of this easier.
  7. Thanks. I'm guessing the Drum Machine Designer would be the best choice. I'd also like to be able to run this instrument in Logic 9 in addition to the current Logic, but i can't see a way to route samples to a Bus in the EXS24
  8. Hi folks I'm looking to shoot my drum kit so i can create my own sampler instrument. The goal is to then have something that functions just like Drum Kit Designer or Superior Drummer, but i'm not currently aware of any plugins that have allow you to import your own round robin samples into a visual drum kit layout, so i was wondering what the best approach would be. I want to have round robin samples at various velocities, with close mics, overheads and room mics all going to their own bus outputs. Once i've got all the phase right with the mics in the room, i'm then thinking that each midi note representing each drum or cymbal would trigger a layer of samples of each mic, in a round robin sequence. So, for example, C2 cycles through several kick drum hits with each mic, and each mic goes to it's own bus etc.
  9. Thanks so much again..this is fantastic. Apologies..i actually made an error in the wording of my request and should have made it more clear. I just need to modify this new script so that each of those CCs can have their own On/Off values: Note 55 = On, CC 3 = 22 CC 4 = 30 CC 5 = 50 CC 6 = 48 CC 7 = 39 CC 8 = 120 CC 9 = 123 CC 10 = 69 Note 55 = Off, CC 3 = 0 CC 4 = 49 CC 5 = 19 CC 6 = 20 CC 7 = 39 CC 8 = 50 CC 9 = 0 CC 10 = 0 The values for each CC are just an example which i can then modify.
  10. Brilliant. In that case the last thing i want to do is to add 7 more CC events to the current script so that when Note 55 = On, Midi CCs 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 all = 127 (or any value which i will then modify) and when Note 55 = Off, all of those Midi CCs = 0 (or again any value). All i need to know is how to add more CC events correctly to the script. I tried to paste the same event several times in the script but i’m sure the punctuation or method is wrong.
  11. Gacki...another quick question regarding the script. To save having too many channel instances for each script, can one script be written to convert one midi note to say, 8 CC messages simultaneously or is one script limited to one CC only?
  12. Yep the latency is in Midi Guitar. Apologies if i didn't make that clear above
  13. Gacki thanks so much for this..it works perfectly and i’m able to modify your script for different notes and cc’s. Now i just need to try and reduce latency in Mainstage with Midi Guitar. Really appreciate this a lot
