  1. Hi folks. I'm stumped and hoped someone could debug me. I have a midi region which has 6 midi channels on it - one for different orchestral instruments. I have IK's Miroslav as the instrument, and assign the midi channels to different instruments in that. However, when I play, all the midi channels are playing on the instrument assigned to midi channel 1. The issue is not Miroslav - I tried EW's Play and the same thing occurred. I have midi channels 1 - 6 being used. I've done this in the past just fine, but this is the first time in a while and I've upgraded Logic with several new releases in between. What am I missing here? OSX 11.6 Logic Pro 10.7
  2. I tried the shortcut suggestion but while it returns to the last play position, it doesn't discard the recording.

  4. I'm also experiencing this issue, but not with a regular pattern. I have been mostly able to address it by going to the midi preferences and resetting all midi drivers. At least that way you don't have to reboot.
  5. Yeah - I've seen posts around. Fortunately the workaround I posted does address things, and it seems that once I do that, all the files in the proj are ok. But there are def bugs in this version. I've found that when using the flex pitch, if you enable perfect pitch, then select return to original, sometimes it leaves behind artifacts in the track reminiscent of formant misalignment so you get clicking and warbling. It's hell being the early adopter.
  6. A follow on - I just noticed that if I choose to "Update File Information" from the Audio File dropdown, it at least allows subsequent editing. But that seems to be a weighty operation as a progress dialog comes up, etc. Be great to find an easier solution.
  7. When I go to the file editor in logic x and make an edit to a track I've just recorded, the first time it will perform the edit - say increase the gain on the file. If I then want to go and say delete a section of that file, or even change the gain again, I get an error: "This audio file can not be changed. Volume or file is locked" I know - tons of posts about this, but all of them say things like "check the file system, etc." Which I've done, both in the finder and via terminal (I'm more of a Unix person - I like command lines). The perms are fine. Additionally, this doesn't happen for other files on the same volume using, say logic 9 (no, I've not opened this project in both 9 and x). Further, if I restart logic x, I can then make one edit, and it's locked again. So I assume this is a bug, but I was wondering if there was any other experience with this and a workaround?
