Hi, So i am currently trying to figure out how to do a time machine transfer from iMac (2.5TB used) to a macbook pro with 512ssd. If i do a normal time machine migration this obviously won't work because the laptop hdd is too small. I would only like to transfer the apps (26gb) and the plugins and soft synths to the laptop. My questions are as follows... 1) What would be the situation with the licensing for Logic X, Ableton and all 3rd party plugs, including maschine if i copy the apps across to the laptop? I'd like to be able to use on both my iMac when I'm at home and also my laptop when mobile - is this possible without purchasing new licenses? 2) If i transfer the apps via migration assistant, can i also transfer the components and VST folders across to the new laptop also? (i'm trying to do this without having to reinstall every single plug/synth i have) 3) If i buy a laptop with sierra how can i wipe and reinstall it with el capitan which is what everything runs on at the moment via the iMac? Hi David, Apologies for the late reply only just tried this! Unfortunately i still get the same scan. Here's what i have tried... 1) removed the component from the main dir and loaded, saved over the project without maschine present then re put the component back and loaded the project back up - still same error, 2) updated maschine software as it was out of date, re run in logic - still same issue. 3) loaded the project with maschine (after the scan). Removed the maschine plugin from the project (but with the component still in the folder). Reloaded project minus maschine track channel - still scans. any other ideas? it scans 1 of 4 plugins but happens so quickly i cant see the other 3 plugins. Thanks

Hi, I am trying to bounce sounds with a portion of the fx send on the bus printed to the sound, however when i bounce the sound it simply bounces it dry. for eg, Kick > Plate reverb send, bounces to the same dry kick. any ideas? Thanks Brad

Hi, Maschine is validated and runs fine however since upgrading Logic X or Maschine (not sure which) It keeps rescanning (see attached) It doesn't do this for any other plugins. I have reset and rescan in plugin manager also. maschine by default loads up in Logic as i have it autoloader on an instrument track in Logic X to get me going straight away as part of a template. please help Thanks

Hi, I'm using rob papen blue 2 to automate the filter cutoff throughout a track for a chord progression. I put it into latch and record and i can see the automation lines recording in - great! When i play the automation back it still plays however the lines are not visible to edit. Also when i check the automation menu to the left there is no filter cutoff in the drop down menu. please help Thanks

Hi, I know how to convert loops to regions, except i can't specify how big those regions are when they change. On the image i would like to convert them to blocks of 8, but it converts them to blocks of 2 by default. please help thanks

Hi, in logic 9 i was able to cycle and loop around the original section whether i looped it or not. In Logic X it seems it will only cycle around the whole loop which means i have to resize the cycle points manually. For instance on the image, the original section is only 2 bars long (17-19), even though it is looped a lot longer i would only like to "set locators and play" around the 2 bar section - but it keeps setting the locators around the full looped section. Is there a way around this? Thanks Brad

I read that in the digital domain, using A/D is redundant as everything is ITB. However many have said that even in the digital domain the D/A is still important and using the D/A on the HEDD for conversion is better than using the Apollo. My question is how can i set this up so I'm using the D/A for mixing on the HEDD with Logic X? Thanks
