Ok, So this bug started after 10.2. Everything was fine on 10.2 and before. But since then, All versions have the same bug and apple not helping me out.
I have the Mackie MCU Pro but tried it with other Mackie protocol devices and all have the same issue (Logic is the problem, Not the MCU)
So here goes:
The Mackie protocol receives channel level meters thru Midi command "Channel Pressure" - In Logic the controller assignment named "Level Meters"
The MCU shows level meters/signal led thru that and all is fine when playing back. Good till now.
In Logic's Control Surfaces Preferences menu there is an option "Control surface follows track selection" and when this option is enabled the problem starts (Again, This only started after 10.2)
While playback is running in the background the MCU receives channel pressure midi from logic and shows level meters but ones i select (with the mouse) a track that is outside the bank and logic forces the MCU to follow track selection, the midi pressure commend sent from logic get stuck (never send an off command) So even though my MCU is in a deferent bank already, I still see the level meters of the last bank on the MCU.
Logic just does not send the off commend after changing a bank by selection. I can see that with my Midi Monitor and on Logic itself.
If anyone in this forum can help and try it out (if you have a mackie control device) Or have any idea why that would happen, Please help.
I spoke to Apple 6 month ago for about a month with a senior advisor. Going back and forth, Sending him system profiles, and was waiting for them to fix. 6 Months later, Logic Pro X 3.0 and nothing.
