Is it me or has the peaking single core overload been rectified? I've been working on a new project with, kontakt, omnisphere, SD3, drummer session keys and audio. While learning 10.8 I’ve had no dreaded cpu single core overloads, whether the track is active, selected or not. Session set @ 64 buffer with lots of plugs going. Hmmm

Had a weird Apple Music thing, click on a song in my Playlist and it would miss 4-5 songs then play one way down the list. 0 of the apple supplied solutions works, login out and in, reboot yada yada, But clicking users / your name / music . drag the music library to a folder on your desktop. Close reopen music and give in a couple minutes, all working good now.

Wish we could get DAW Mode (like Game Mode in Sonoma) where it focused on performance for a Daw, Low latency, buffer settings lower 16, 8, 4, prioritize USB/c with Logic X yada. Look in your activity Monitor, I'm sure some of that crap could wait till later!

Maybe hearing older audio interfaces with FW aren't working.

The recent Public Beta 4 is much improved on my inTel iMac, powerd drain is gone, overall system seems much more responsive

I have several PA licenses, none are on my iLok, I have no problems using them on the beta, PA doesnt show up on my iLok manager at all for the system or usb ilok.

Finally got around to installing, a bit late this year, same as above, not noticing any logic and music related problems.

Sure lots of 3rd party solutions each one with their own issues and CPU overhead and complications. We've learned to adapt to these and work within them. I think of my iPhone with a bunch of stuff on them, buy a new phone and in a couple hrs or less, all sync'ed and back. In a studio machine, arrgg the thought is days n days mostly regarding Copy protections for my purchased stuff. But really I don't see any benefit of operating the latest OS for music over the last many years is really what I'm sayin.

I must say, that for all the updates that affect plugins and music apps over the years, the work plugin manufactures have to go through to be valid. I don't see the payoff strictly speaking for music apps n plugs performance. With the effort apple has put into getting us onboard maybe they could have a high performance mode for music, super lllooow latency with lotsa plugs going and nothing else in the background deciding whenever to operate causing performance loss, click off when Logic closes. Copy protection, really in 2022 i still need to have a usb stick in a port to use? Face ID could know I have 1000 plugs purchased, 10 demo's, updates and next weeks deals based on the demo's. I understand that they are moving forward faster and have to stay competitive. But i cant help but feel if the M1/OS guys spent a bit of time watching activity monitor pinging all the different protections, the other stuff happening while a heavy Logic tune is pumping away, they couldn't adapt better than expecting the Logic team adapt to the OS updates and new emoji's. Maybe just once, in MACOS 16 release, they could have one of the Logic Team speak, showing Logic with 3rd party software completely hammered under full load, using a Mac's full potential, just for Logic not just on M1

Would've liked a Mini Max with a 2TB and 64 unified ram, same I/O.

Im waiting on this to hear some reports, I recall the first few betas were great then we got hammered, even up to the first release.

I’ve often not had the update in the App Store. I drag the Logic app to my backup drive, delete in applications and redownload the app.

Mine was just updated all by itself... Grrrr, I usually like an older copy saved just in case!
