  1. Unfortunately by doing bounce track in place I loose all my sends and automation. I need them for my mix, I wish I can still modify reverb and delay and other sends. Also all outputs assignements are gone and has to be reassigned. I guess bounce track in place is good for Stems.
  2. I've crossgraded to Nuendo 10, works really good. Before crossgrading to Nuendo I was importing all aaf in Pro Tools and then exporting new aaf files for Logic. But it was always a real mess of time consuming. Since Pro Tools is awailable only on subscription I've tryed the Stienberg's Nuendo10 Demo. Now with Nuendo I'm happy because I can do both, music and Sound Design in one software. Unfortunately Nuendo's performances on macOS are not as good as Logic but enough for a really nice work experience. Slowly, unfortunately, I'm leaving Logic. But one thing is really breathtaking with Nuendo: The tracks in the arrange window and those in the mix window finally match.
  3. I'm in a real mess right now with Kontakt multi outputs. I'm trying to bounce in place midi regions but the new audio tracks are not assigned to any output and all the sends are lost. I wish I can mix my project without software instruments using only audio track but seems to be not possible. I've many Kontakt instances using multiple outputs. Almost all audio tracks on my mixer window (Kontakt outputs) are also in the arrange window for apply automations. I wish to bounce the midi regions in new tracks that have same output as the source Kontakt audio-track and same send and automation as the source Kontakt audio-track. Is this possible?
  4. Not always! I'm in a real mess right now with Kontakt multi outputs. I'm trying to bounce in place midi regions but the new audio tracks are not assigned to any output and the sends are lost. I wish I can mix my project without software instruments using only audio track but seems to be not possible.
  5. Select "show help tags" in Preferences -> Display -> General. Now when you try to select a cycle range a pop-up window will show you the length info. With "show help tags" selected you will see a lot of pop-up windows showing you different info depending on the tool you are using.
  6. I suppose it's a marketing question. Logic is a 200$ DAW and ProTools wish maybe keep the leadership in this market. Logix Pro X is developed for musicians not for video post. I'm a musician and Sound Designer and I love Logic Pro X but I was forced to buy a ProTools copy for doing my Sound Designer Job. Really bad because I'm also a music composer and it's annoying jump from ProTools to Logic and vice versa when developing a music score for a movie. But mine are only suppositions. The truth is that even if there is an opportunity to import AAF, Logic pro fails to do it successfully.
  7. Good point. There: https://www.apple.com/feedback/logic-pro.html I'll do it so soon as I can! Thank you!
  8. Logic should never put away an auto saved file! I've loose one hour of good and precious work for a reason that I still can't explain. I first opened an auto saved project after a crash. I loaded an instrument in Kontakt 5 and boom, Kontakt player was empty. I've closed the project without saving and boom, next time I've opened my project the Kontakt player was still empty and the midi tracks associated to the disappeared instruments wasn't here. Mistery! I would have been very happy to find again the auto-saved project. If some developer is reading here, please let Logic keep all auto saved projects !!!
  9. Thank you David! I admit I've never used Flex. I'll try it. But I'm definitely an old school lover!
  10. Thank you for replay. No, I don't use clone regions, I don't like their behavior. I normally do a copy of a region. I'm working with regions in my arrange window where the whole project is. If I wish to see exactly what I'm doing by time stretching a region I have to do this in my arrange windows. But time stretching a single region affects also all other regions that belongs to the same audio-file in the same project. But also if I don't have a copy of that region in my whole project my original audio file is in any case gone for ever. I would like Logic to automatically create a new time stretched audio-file living the original one untouched. How can I do this? As written in my post to manually bounce the region creating a new track (and new audio file), perform time stretch on this new region, put this new region back on the original track, delete the track just created by the bounce is a huge waste of time, is it not?
  11. Hi, Is there a way to setup Logic to not destruct an audio file by processing it and instead automatically create in-place a new processed audio file? For example if I perform a time stretch the original file is lost and all regions in the project that belongs to that file are affected. The same happens if I perform a reverse or a pitch stretch etc. Manually export or convert an audio file to a new one and import it into the project at the right place by creating a new track and finally process it, involves a big waste of time. I think and I really hope Logic is able to do this automatically. Is this possible?
  12. Thank you Jordi, your suggestion was precious! I knew nothing about MIDI Draw function.
  13. I can't describe what happens and what name give to this behavior. I also don't know why this happens and don't know how to reverse this strange layout that a midi region suddenly becomes. I can only post a snapshot and hope someone knows what is happening. Since I'm using Logic X 10.3.1 this happens often.
  14. Thanks so much! I was looking for this function since a lot of time. Was that easy ?!
  15. 3 years are gone now, still not possible show the pitch of each note in piano roll?
