Thanks Eric. That worked a treat. Next stumbling block: Downloading of additional content throws a 'The content server is unreachable.' error.

I've downloaded Logic Pro X from the App Store and have installed it successfully. Upon opening up the app for the first time, the basic content download begins. The basic content package downloads successfully and starts to install. Has anyone found that the installation of basic content package never completes? The progress bar, for me, stays at the same location and does so for what seems to be an infinite amount of time. I've tried installing the package manually by finding the basic content package. This seems to work to some extent but Logic thinks that there is missing basic content and tries to download the basic content package again, only for it to sit at the installing phase. Any help would be greatly appreciated? I've contacted Apple Support which didn't really help much. Thanks, Dan.

Going to feel a bit of a fool when I say this but I have it working. I forgot there was an upgrade serial number. Entering that first followed by Logic 8's serial key worked. Thanks for your help. Dan.

Yeah that's correct. It's saying me Logic 8 serial number is invalid. I'll have another go just to check.

Hey, I have a bit of a problem. I bought Logic 8 and installed it on my iMac a few years ago. At the time, I was using Leopard. A couple of months later I bought the upgrade to Logic 9 and installed that. I also installed all updates via 'Software Update' prior to installing Lion. Everything was working perfectly. Until I decided to reinstall a fresh copy of Lion. I now have a dilemma. 1. I cannot install Logic 8 from disc as it's a PowerPC application. 2. I cannot install Logic 9 via the upgrade disc as the serial number is not valid. I presume it relies upon already having Logic 8 installed. I'm a bit stuck. Could anyone help me at all please?
