  1. Just posted a script on my site which allows removal of some logic studio applications for reinstallation. BE CAREFULL! THIS WAS WRITTEN FOR MY PERSONAL USE AND IS NOT TESTED AT ALL, SO IT WILL MOST LIKELY BREAK SOMETHING. USE THIS ON YOUR OWN RISK! I hope it might help someone. You can find it here: http://tekknovator.blogspot.com/2011/12/unofficial-ls-maintainerdeinstaller.html
  2. The built in channels should be available as parameters on the main plugin channel. The aux method works only if you want to use Logics mixer for for mix/automation. this reminds me, still have to install SD2 onthis machine here...
  3. Could you post an example of those sounds on soundcloud? (or anywhere else)
  4. They want you to trackpad Edit: But the little zoom sliders bottom right are still there. So all is not lost for mousers.
  5. The Rest of my Log is online: http://tekknovator.blogspot.com/2011/11/moving-to-lion-install-log-part-2.html Not much hassle at all, but did anyone else experience strange sample rate behaviour?
  6. Looking good. Komplete 5 runs under Lion. But there was the odd trap during installation. I will publish my installation log at my blog (tekknovator.blogspot.com) once I am done with this. Now... where do I get a Firewire 400 to 800 cable at this time of the day? Its always the obvious things one tends to forget EDIT: Article is online: http://tekknovator.blogspot.com/2011/11/moving-to-lion-install-log-1.html
  7. Just got a new mac mini yesterday (amazing machine: 2.7 i7, AMD Radeon, enogh space for a second internal HD). Will try to install Komplete 5 as soon as the image has been created and copied. Will keep you guys posted about the progress. So far I am happy, logic is running great and rock solid. Alchemy and renoise are doing great too. Can run easily 11 instances of sculpture I am really happy with this machine... why does image creation always take soooo long. If it is taking any longer I will have written so much bullsh. that anyone who reads this will have bleeding eyes (would have said ears, but I am not talking now am I?)...
  8. Hi, do you mean new empty project? There is no template for that. Other templates can be found in the following locations: User Templates: ~/Library/Application\ Support/Logic/Project\ Templates/ and /Library/Application\ Support/Logic/Project\ Templates/ For the Factory stuff.
  9. Hi, honestly, this sounds like a typical case of overload... might be the plugin delay compensation (pdc) if its not that, but I bet it is that. if it comes to fx try to bundle them on aux channels, so that you save instances. Search this forum for CPU saving or performance tuning to find out more. Updating to 64 bit is a whise idea, since 4 of the 8 GB RAM in your system are mostly wasted right now. Hope this helps.
  10. Are they bluffing to get pre orders? It has been 2 years + since the last release, so an update should be due soon anyway...
  11. So much spam coming through the captcha... Some questions first: Can you select the device in one of those places?: /applications/Utilities/audio midi setup > window > show audio window or /Applications/System Preferences > sound ? Check if the device is recognized in in the profiler. Can you hear something through the device outside of logic?
  12. +1 what beer moth said. It might be advisable to bounce some tracks first, in case you are using a lot of audio units and you are not sure if you will find them on the new machine.
  13. Have you guys tried this?: http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/ It might shed some light on the issues cause you can really see what is going on... In my friends studio I constantly move a fader by accident because he has a Keystation 49e connected. That things things fader above the pitch bend is a PITA. It is also worth a try to find out if the HUI faders behave strange in other programs. If you do not have one: Reaper.fm is always free to evaluate and very good for a verification test. Hope this helps.
