  1. My best guess is it’s a user preference thing somewhere. I guess I was hoping someone else had the same issue so I could figure out specifically which preference or bug is causing it.
  2. Nothing else loaded in Kontakt. I have tried turning off Bluetooth and other things, yes. To no avail.
  3. Nothing else running. Just this library. This screenshot is after playing about five 6-note chords in a row, about 8th-note speed.
  4. Just updated my signature. Using a SSD. My HD is at about 60% capacity - 400GB available out of 1TB. I am using DFD, and the buffer is maxed out.
  5. Hi there! I'm having an issue with a plug-in: Cinematic Studio Brass. When I load the full ensemble patch into Kontakt, within playing a few chords the CPU usage reaches 100% and maxes out, causing major stuttering and jitters. I have to freeze the track in order to use it. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Here's what I've eliminated so far: This is just the full ensemble patch - others in the library work as expected. It happens both in big orchestral templates, and also when it's the only plug-in loaded in the session. This is only in Logic - other DAWs are fine. Cinematic Studio's tech support is stumped. They've never heard of this happening to anyone else. Logic's tech support advised I start a new user profile on my computer and migrate everything over - that took me a while to do but actually kinda worked for about 3 weeks (it was still high-CPU, but was more usable), but then it started back up again. Anyone have this issue or something similar? Would love to hear opinions! Thanks in advance! Using a late 2013 Mac Pro, 3GHz 8-core Intel Xeon E5, MacOS Catalina, 64GB RAM.
  6. I've been getting this too. Are you guys on Mojave? I had to upgrade when I bought a new Mac and I'm thinking it might be a bug for the new OS.
  7. Hi everyone, Once in a while when I'm working in Logic (v.10.4.2), the program will freeze when I go to save. It's sporadic and unpredictable, but it won't crash - it'll stay with the spinning ball until I force quit (the menu says it's not responding). So I can't even get a crash report. Luckily I've been able to use auto-saves to salvage my work almost every time, but it's happening a couple times an hour. Very frustrating for my workflow. I've also gotten error messages on reboots a couple times: "Illegal region (2)" and "Illegal sequence (1)". I am on Mojave (I know, I know, normally I would wait a long time before updating but I bought a new computer and had no choice). All my plug-ins are up to date and validated - I've run updaters on everything. All my plug-ins are legal and above board. I've tried trashing prefs, I've tried re-installing the app. Nothing helps. Any thoughts/ideas? Anyone else running into this? I called Logic help and have been working with a very nice guy for 2 days but he's stumped and has said no one else has really been calling with a similar issue. And also I can't seem to get it to freeze when he's screen sharing with me. Any thoughts would be appreciated! -Ryan
  8. Having a problem in Logic X (I recently upgraded from 9). When I select a new track to work on, it highlights all the regions in that track, which is the same as Logic 9. However, now the arrange window jumps to focus on the first region in that track, often sending me back to the beginning. Then I have to hit play or fast forward/rewind a bar to get back to where the playhead is. Does anyone else have this issue and/or know a solution? Mac Pro Tower 2011 Logic X 10.2.0 OS X 10.9.5
  9. I'm having this exact same problem. I've checked out a lot of the other forum posts on this topic but nothing has worked so far. I have saved a copy of my project and gone through and deleted each VI and plug-in systematically, to no avail. Right now I have no VI's loaded and no plug-ins loaded, just a blank slate, and I'm still getting the error. I'm able to bounce PCM but not MP3 or AAC.
  10. Hi there, I just migrated from a MBP to a Mac Pro. Using Logic 9 Studio on Mac OS X Lion. Ever since the move, Logic can't find audio files from my EXS24 instruments. I get messages like the one listed below. I still have my original DVDs from Logic 9, so I can reinstall the instruments if necessary, but I'd prefer not to have to do that. A spotlight search for that file name brings up nothing. Can anyone tell me where a file like the one in the picture below should be found, so I can check my old MBP to see if they're there? Or does anyone have a solution for reconnecting the files? Thanks, -Ryan O
  11. Fixed it. Under controller assignments, I changed the mode to Toggle instead of Rotate.
  12. I just started using my Motif XS 8 as a controller for Logic. When I first turned on the remote, using the dial would jump from bar to bar. I must have hit something by accident, because now turning the dial one click jumps to the very end of the song. And turning it the other way does nothing. Does anyone have an idea of what I might have done? Is it possible to reverse the damage? I should also include that I've tried resetting/restarting both machines, and resetting the MIDI drivers. Thanks, -Ryan O
  13. Bump. I've also been having this problem. I've tried two different controllers: M-Audio KeyStudio and Motif XS8 and it happens both times. I've searched the inter webs and it seems like this a common problem with no solution yet. I think it may have something to do with the environment window, I had my own MIDI setup in there to change MIDI channels and as soon as I deleted it, the problem went away. However, there's nothing in this particular setup that should adjust the pitch in any way. I've attached a screenshot of this setup for reference. Does anyone have any ideas?
