  1. Thank you for that! INterestingly, same company had "Loop Editor" which is $40 cheaper. Problem solved!
  2. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but apparently Apple Loop Utility has been discontinued. I confirmed that my last version wouldn't work, when I upgraded one of the computers to 10.12. Can someone here kindly explain to me how I'm supposed to create synced, tempo matched files for Playback? Apple Loop Utility was a bit of a pain, so hopefully these tasks can be taken care of in another app? Will GarageBand do it? Cheers
  3. Awesome, Bro, thank you for this. It works like a charm in MS3. Unfortunately it does NOT work in MS 2.2.X in 32 Bit mode. I use MS 2 at the moment, because I have plug ins that are NOT 64 bit, and either the Manufacturers have not updated, or I am too lazy to PAY for the 64 bit versions. I don't see a "Dual Keyboard" set up in MS 2. Do you have any ideas for a work-around? Thanks man.
  4. Thanks mmm42 I will give that a shot now!
  5. Hey Guys... Funny how sometimes the littlest things are just baffling... Whether I use 32 bit Mainstage or 64 bit, same re-occuring problem: I have an iRig keyboard, transmitting on Channel 1 I have my Korg Nanopad transmitting on channel 10. If I open the "Keyboard Minamalist" preset, or ANY preset, even starting from scratch, I don't seem to get the choice to use both instruments simultaneously. Clicking in the Instrument track, I get a choice of one instrument only. I click "Multitimbrel" and I SHOULD see a drop down menu for each device, but MS is only allowing me one device at a time! Or, I have a keyboard instrument loaded up, and BOTH the nanopad AND the keyboard play the same instrument. I would like to have the nanpad play BFD3, and the Keyboard play Omnisphere, I checked my Audio Midi Preferences, and deliberately set both instruments to ONLY output on either Channel 10 (Nanopad) or Channel 1 (iRig.) Can someone please tell me what on Earth is going on here? Thank you in advance for your help! Treatment
  6. This is a BBS for Mainstage users. NOT necessarily Logic users. Try posting on the correct borad.
  7. Yes but why should we HAVE TO "mess around with the performance settings a bit to bring my processor load down".?
  8. Asking ANY DAW to do tempo changes mid song is going to require automation, unless you do it manually by hand. I think you might be better off sticking to Logic in this case. Or, Running Mainstage slaved to Logic's clock, which would require both apps to be open simultaneously. Treatment
  9. I'm STILL not precisely sure what you are trying to achieve....it's a bit cryptic. Are you asking MS to follow the tempo changes from the Playback plug in? (As in, Song starts at 120 BPM, then mid-song it changes to 126?) Maybe some clear examples of what you WANT to have happen, then we can figure out how to make it happen. but if you've thrown in the towel, fair enough. Treatment
  10. I haven't seen an error message like this. For sure, you went in, placed markers, counted how many bars and beats, and RE-SAVED it in ALC, correct? My guess is that there is some kind of meta data in that file that MS doesn't recognize. Was the file created in Logic 9? I would look on this board and find out how to use LOGIC inside of MS and use Logic to automate your pedals. Treatment
  11. You could have a look at MY setup and see if it's anything close to yours: In my experience, MS can be designed to do WHATEVER YOU WANT it to do. Sure, a lot of guitar players use it, but to think that this is the scope of MS ability is a big mistake. Yes, Ableton live will do everything MS can do, the biggest advantage of MS is the ability to design your GUI. (Can't do that in Ableton) My needs on a "per song basis" simply could not be achieved in Ableton. (believe me I tried...for YEARS!) You CAN automate MS using Logic. I have never tried it, but absolutely it can be done. Logic crashing? MS crashing? Welcome to the world of computing, my friend. The only program that has NEVER crashed on me is Reason. I use an AKAI APC40 (designed for Ableton) with my MS setup. At the moment, it is the "mothership" controller for my songs. Using Machine with MS? That sounds FANTASTIC! MS has a relatively low learning curve, and it costs $30. Ableton Live is a LOT more expensive. Treatment
  12. Not enough detail for anyone to bother replying. Keep it simple! State your issue, CLEARLY and then people like myself will be more than happy to help you. Treatment
  13. Not enough information for anybody to bother replying to this, mate. Treatment
  14. Maybe a silly question, but did you run the Tempeace Click file through Apple Loops Utility? To my knowledge ALU is the ONLY way to get Playback files to play in time with MS internal clock.
  15. "...ridiculous that you need mavericks to run it..." Yup, I just confirmed this. I am not about to upgrade anytime soon, so I guess I'll be skipping future updates. I too have very deep designs, and the fear of a new version not recognizing my assignments equals a world of pain. Treatment
