  1. Try this: File/Project Settings/Smart Tempo Options/Export Tempo Resolution (dropdown menu) Change Smoothed to Beats
  2. The command splits the Marquee selection if there is one, and if there's no Marquee selection it splits at locators. Great!!! Thanks for your help.
  3. 10.5.1 Trial https://www.apple.com/logic-pro/trial/
  4. New in Logic Pro X 10.5.1 General The Split Region at Marquee Selection command now works as expected. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203718
  5. Thanks. Hope it works. I'm not a Keyboard Maestro expert, but let me know if you need any help with it.
  6. I've made a modified macro which works if the project has multiple tracks. Here's the zipped Keyboard Maestro macro. 1. Unzip and then import into Keyboard Maestro - File/Import Macros Safely... 2. Enable the macro by checking the Triggered by. . . tick box - see top left of the image in this post. Before trying it: 1. Create a Logic keyboard shortcut for Select All Regions of Selected Track. I have used ctrl/opt/shift/cmd + R 2. Select the Logic track that you want to edit. 7. D'oh!! I was testing this in a project with one track. Using a project with multiple tracks, the Select All command causes all the tracks to be split.
  8. Temporary Workaround I've made this Keyboard Maestro macro which executes four Logic commands with one shortcut key. I've used F19 on my extended keyboard, but almost any key can be used. Making a Marquee selection in Logic deselects the region, so I've add Select All and Deselect All commands. A fully working 30 day trial of Keyboard Maestro is available. Hopefully Apple will fix the problem before the trial period ends. Keyboard Maestro is $36. https://www.keyboardmaestro.com/main/ Here's the zipped macro file which can be imported into Keyboard Maestro. The macro will be disabled by default, so click the "Triggered by. . ." tick box - see top left of first image in this post. Split Region at Marquee Selection - Workaround.kmmacros.zip Slower computers - pause commands can be added between the four commands e.g.
  9. I've now checked this using 10.4.8. The same thing happens, so perhaps this is normal in Logic. ***** I read that an older version of Logic could be in the Applications folder. Thanks to David Nahmani's post #278 in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=148171&start=260 I restored my 10.4.8 Trial from Time Machine.
  10. I workaround would be to enable Auto Set Locators, but this might be inconvenient if you don't want the locators to automatically follow Marquee Selection all the time.
  11. Same thing happening here with 10.5 Trial. When I use the shortcut CMD+Ctrl+T the audio region is split at the Cycle Range - it doesn't matter whether cycle is enabled or not. The description for the shortcut is Split Regions/Events at Locators or Marquee Selection. Not sure how to choose between Locators or Marquee Selection
  12. 10.5 Trial - Great features!!! New Project Zoom to fit Locators works correctly. Drag the Start Marker to the right or left to renumber the bars - Zoom to fit Locators does not work correctly - The yellow Cycle Range is not centred - part of it is off the screen. Press play - The Cycle Range is centred. I don't know whether this is a new problem in 10.5 or whether it's older. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a preference that I need to change? Thanks for your help.
  13. Have they changed the name to this? Go to Selection Start (Global Commands shortcuts) also Go to Region Start (Audio Editor shortcuts)
