  1. I get the same thing with Amplitude 5, so I went back to 4. Sometimes I get it when I have Acoustic Samples B3 organ in the mix too. Also, sometimes it just crashes Logic. Re-installing didn't help.
  2. Thanks Jacob. Good grief, I already got this advice for another maneuver in moving the time signatures and didn't even think of it! I'll eventually learn... but again, thanks!
  3. Curious about this. I've set markers (1st verse, chorus, bridge, etc) on the timeline and then after edits had to move all tracks on the timeline. The markers stay in the same place and don't move relative to the movement of all the other tracks. Is there a way I can have all the markers move without having to delete and then replace them? Thanks in advance. Bruce
  4. I was just sent an AAF file to be imported from Cubase 11 to Logic Pro X for me to mix. The 2 guitars and keyboard were stereo tracks but I got them named left and right mono tracks. How do I combine these into a single stereo track that reflects what they were hearing when they recorded and played back? Set each one, say the left and right guitar, as a stereo track and then bounce them into a new track? Should I pan them first? How much to pan? Leave them alone and pan them separately? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advance. Bruce
  5. Gosh David, that's the exact action you told me the last time I asked this question. I forgot until I saw the answer. Thanks again for being here and putting up with all of us! Best to you.
  6. I'm wanting to select all the tracks (they start at 1) and move them to make some room in front. I have a meter change from 4/4 to 2/4 and back to 4/4 later in the piece. Is there a way to select all and have the changes move when I drag them? Thanks.
  7. Thanks guys. I can always count on you. Bruce
  8. Using a plug-in I have on a MIDI file, when I need to export it to a WAV file, the manufacturer recommends setting delay to -50. That was easy in Logic 9. I just selected any and typed in -50. Now in Logic X, I get a selection like -1/192 or -1/96 (with millisecs in parentheses) and when I click on it, it says "1 ticks". Can I type in -50 ticks? How do I get it set to -50? Thanks. Bruce
  9. everyone (hopefully) has a backup system (ie time machine, or, for myself, CCC); this is more about having individual files of different versions of a project. both things make sense. Thanks.
  10. Quick question: Why not just use Time Machine?
  11. Beside the transpose options described above, I once accidentally somehow got into the pitch bend automation window and set the pitch wrong. (I think I was thinking it was volume automation.) Didn't discover it until the notes were all out of pitch and I went back in and corrected it.
  12. Logic X runs fine on my MacBook Air. No issues at all but its difficult to work on the small screen. I've got it on a new iMac too and is fine.
