  1. Universal Audio will give you entry into the best hardware sim plugins. I have an Apollo and couldn't be happier. The UAD Apollo.... cool I'll check that out, thanks for the recomenndation!
  2. thank you triplets–––yes during one of the updates to Logic on my 2011 computer, Maestro suddenly stopped running. I could still use the Ensemble as a basic I/O and since it still sounded good, continued to use it. But now it won't sync with my IMac at all (conflict between sample rates... I googled it––a nightmare) I'm definitely going Thunderbolt route–––thus my inquiry about recommendations
  3. No I didn't not see that... I'm so used to/trained buy Apogees terrible, and frankly, downright rude customer support, that I didn't even try. unfortunately I have the FIREWIRE Apogee Ensemble... and so far I don't see that listed thank you, though!
  4. I haven't checked out MOTU's –––they are still around! Awesome! I will look now.
  5. I upgraded to Monterey because my main vocalist I work with uses Garageband on Montery, and I wasn't able to open in Logic on my old (Sierra) computer so I wanted to transition everything to the Monterey computer and when the Apogee finally stopped working–––I figured this is the time
  6. the dual core from 2017 I already have for a year or two... Not powerful enough? hm..... my previous model was a 2011 Imac 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 I JUST WISH MY APOGEE ENSEMBLE WORKED WITHOUT ISSUES... I HATE APOGEE
  7. I/O needs... really just one microphone or guitar input, and then input from the three analog non–usb synths listed above. Budget––1,200––1,500 US dollars
  8. Hello forum! I've been using an Apogee Ensemble for years, but it's been getting glitchy and now doesn't even synch with Logic–– and I need to upgrade my audio interface, as well as move to a more recent computer... The NEW computer I'm moving to is a 2017 Imac (21.5 inch), 2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, 16 GB, with OS Montery Four USB-A ports Two Thunderbold 3 USB-C ports with I want to hookup my Blofeld, Access Virus Snow (both USB) as well as to be able to get audio 1/4' inputs from: Sequential Circuits Six Trak Korg DW-8000 Yamaha TX81z So what should I get? What would be the easiest transition–wise? (I'm also not looking forward to dealing with Waves upgrades Thanks in advance!
  9. I hope you don't my piggybacking on this thread because Im also having this problem! I don't even have a SSD drive! Interested in how to "distribute the usage among all threads"
  10. Thank you everybody––– you helped me solve it! Great forum!
  11. thank you for your reply! my key commands are kind of$&@+% up–––Command + T opens the Tempo Editor where would I find "Snap edits to zero crossings?"
  12. I'm editing drum tracks, and I whenever I try to cut an audio region cleanly on the downbeat, it always cut a little ahead in time... why is it doing this??! I turned OFF smart snap to grid, tried cutting by locators, option scissors for that plus sign.... Why is it doing this? Is there any why I can just cut right on the bar!?!?! pic included
  13. Quickie question–––Is that possible? Can I just drag the file from one Arrange window to another? thanks1
  14. thank you for your reply Atlas007–––I just downloaded mystery island editor that One100 suggested. I have tried to change patches–––and THAT works via the instrument , but I didn't have the patch names... The mystery island looks like it might work, if I can GET IT to work
