  1. Hi DJ Spydaa, with the kickstart plugin you don't need to have any side chain going on. Insert the plugin onto the track you want to have a side chain affect applied to and set the shape and mix levels to suit. You will see the audio visual in the plugin window to help with choosing the correct parameters.
  2. Hi guys, Will this be something that would allow more control of logic via an iPad? Seems interesting...
  3. Logic has a built in utility tuner that you could use
  4. Hi David, yes it’s a track stack as you describe. I could have sworn it didn’t behave like this prior to updating but if it’s well known then I have fooled myself:-). Seems silly not to be able to visually see it move so would be a good feature request.
  5. It appears that it is only when moving a sub group and not the individual regions within the sub group. Opening up the sub group and moving regions works, trying to move a full sub group doesn’t. I don’t recal this behaviour before Since updating from the previous version of 10.4.1
  6. Just updated to 10.4.2 and noticed that on a project I was previously working on, when now moving a region it is not visible. Anyone else experiencing this? I’m not at laptop just now but can provide a video clip later if helpful.
  7. Hi guys, Latest track from myself available to stream or download for free from my SoundCloud page here: https://soundcloud.com/bryandoc/bryan-doherty-afraid-of-disco-1 Hope you can give a listen and all feedback welcome. Thanks, Bryan
  8. Here is a link to a remix I did for anyone interested in trance music - A&B Remix on SoundCloud Comments and feedback welcome and I hope you enjoy. Bryan
  9. How does one upgrade to El Capitan? The only option that I'm aware of for a Yosemite user is to go straight to Sierra (which I don't know if I want to do). Check your purchases in the App Store first for El Capitain (If you previously downloaded it and never installed). If not you can download it from the App Store here - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/os-x-el-capitan/id1147835434?mt=12 Info available from Apple page here - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT206886 Hope this helps
  10. Hi guys, just to update you - I ended up doing a fresh install of logic plus all audio content and manually moved any plugin settings, instrument settings and channel strip settings to the new drive and all is working good. To add a bit more info - I upgraded the RAM form 4GB to 16 GB (Crucial Memory) and replaced the original HD with an SSD (Samsung 850 EVO). This along with a fresh OS is night and day and the MacBook Pro is like a new machine. I am waiting for a caddy to arrive in order to remove the optical drive and replace with the original system HD to use as a storage drive for audio samples. Thanks for all the help. Bryan
  11. Thanks again for the feedback. I have a "Start" template I use as a starting point with all routing etc, I'm more looking to ensure that any custom exs instruments or channel strip settings I have created over the last few years are able to be used in the new install. I can try some stuff out tonight but can you not simply copy for instance the sampler instrument folder from one Drive location to the other then tell the computer where the samples are now located for that instrument? Thanks, Bryan
  12. Thanks for the replies guys. I would like to start from scratch as believe this to be the best way to declutter and ensure everything works well. Yesterday I installed a fresh copy of Sienna on the new SSD (Samsung 850 EVO) and plan to instal Logic Pro X and all content today/tonight. I will be putting all audio samples to a dedicated Drive as discussed, however I'm still unsure what the best way is for obtaining all channel strip setting and custom exs instruments that I have?
  13. Hi all, I am about to replace the HD in my MacBook Pro with an SSD. I plan on starting from scratch with the SSD and doing a fresh install of everything (Including Logic) and was wondering the following: What is the best way of transferring all my channel strip settings, plug in settings, sampler instrument settings etc (located in Hard Drive/Library/Application Support/Logic and Users/Name/Music/Audio Music Apps)? Do I simply copy these folders to the new location once Logic is installed or is there a better method? Note: At present my EXS samples are stored on the internal drive with all other samples that I use on a dedicated drive. I plan to install the factory samples and purchased samples all on an a dedicated external drive during the new Logic install. Thanks
  14. Hi everyone, Latest track from me available for streaming or free download here: https://soundcloud.com/bryandoc/bryan-doherty-calypso Any feedback welcome and thanks for taking the time to listen. Bryan edit - I was unable to get embedded link to work so post link to track instead.
  15. The new MBP 13" or 15" seems pricey for the touch bar version. Not sure how much influence this could have for use with logic yet but I'm struggling to justify the cost of upgrading my current MBP to make use of it without knowing more on its capability for improving user experience on logic. Do you think it likely that logic will receive an update to make it usable on the iPad Pro? The larger version of this plus logic seems a more practical move for my next purchase but not sure how far off that would be, if at all. why have a touch bar when you can have the full screen at your finger tips...
