  1. Thanks FF. I think my old system is a mess. What Id like is for the old EXS library to appear in the Sampler drop down menu. As I have thousands of EXS instruments It would be great not to have to open one at a time. Ive tried just dropping that into the SAMPLES folder within "Music", but they don't appear and I can't seem to locate a "refresh" option within Sampler.
  2. Is there any way to point Sampler at my old EXS24 libraries and have them automatically converted?
  3. Is there any way that Logic allows you to store separate Bounce settings? I have multiple clients that have particular audio requirements and Im constantly forgetting to change from 16 to 24 bit (or vice versa) or sample rate. Every other program I work with has multiple presets and user save options.
  4. Hi all Is there any way to have Logic Pro slave to a Premiere Pro session within the one computer? I want to work on some tracks within logic whilst editing pictures at the same time. I can't seem to find any information on this. cheers
  5. This is all fine, but I'm attempting to mix non-contiguous dual mono tracks created in Pro Tools within Logic Pro. The Join/Bounce solution creates a single contiguous stereo track which means I lose all my regions and handles. There must be a way to do this.
  6. Bummer. Thanks Dave. Still, X is pretty damn good. No more GUI freezes!!
  7. Ok. Here's what I want to do: Record onto an audio track while watching prerecorded midi-events scroll past on a separate piano roll window. The point of the exercise being to use the midi notes as cues for my acoustically played events. The problem is that as soon as I arm the recording track, it is that window that becomes the dominant scrolling piano roll window. Is there any way to "freeze" a separate piano window temporarily so that no input from the arrange page affects it?
  8. Thanks Nigel Great stuff - looking forward to Pt 3. Here’s a question. If you have a slave setup and, say, an orch perc instance all nicely laid out as a VE profile and you’re working on a totally separate Logic session and you decide to use that profile, is there a simpler way to do it rather than having to set up all the relevant environment profiles in Logic....again? Or do you create a relevant LP environment specifically tailor made for that VE Pro instance and then import that into your new session?
