  1. yeah, I was just about to buy an MC Control. Now I wonder. Could be over reacting-Avid claims they're going to keep it "open". Great news for Pro Tools users, though.

  3. I just wish you could disable bars/beats on all displays and have it be time code only. Like when you've finished composing, and now want to do some post-production...when I move a region the transport is STILL giving you bars/beats. Two distinct modes would be great, composing and post. And I know Soundtrack Pro would be a solution but never quite warmed up to it. Unless there is a way and I'm not aware-please, someone enlighten me!

    Logic Studio 9!

Don't want to pile on the negativity but it just seems they added a bunch of tools to help make shitty musicians sound less shitty-quantize audio? play the part right the first time and the ONE helper they could have added but didn't was any type of pitch manipulation a'la the new DP. I'm actually relieved that it doesn't contain any earth-moving improvements 'cuz an Intel machine is still a ways off for me.......oh, they also improved their amp sim-big deal. no amp sim can replace the sound of the real thing-it's convenient, true, but not the real thing...
  5. Don't want to pee in your Cheerios but I would expect a "Certified" Logic person to be aware of the proper layout for a GM drum kit. And how to program your hi-hats properly. Great samples, though.
  6. After several years of using Logic I finally discovered this 'lil gem. Yes, I'm slow that way...anyways, is there a way to access all the banks and patches from there? The MIDI destination gets you to a channel but I was wondering if there is a way to see all the banks and whatnot like you can on a MIDI track. What a handy little deal....
  7. never mind...figured it out
  8. Isn't there a way to click on an audio region in the arrange window and have it open in Soundtrack Pro or any other external editor? I could have sworn i had heard about this...thanks in advance! Dar
  9. http://plentycom.jp/en/steermouse/index.html 3rd-party Mighty Mouse driver. Much more functionality than the Apple driver
  10. got one the other day. the little scroll thingamabob is very cool. apple's driver is really limited as far as options go, though. here's a donation-ware driver written by a japanese company that is well worth the money. http://plentycom.jp/en/steermouse/index.html
  11. ...trust me I've been beating myself up a lot about this...thing is, that damn update sat on my desktop for a week because I wanted to see if there were any problems...didn't hear of any so, like an idiot, I did it...Oh,, well, I'll just re-install Tiger and update to 10.4.1-that worked really well for me.
  12. Yep, the same over here....Logic crashed 4-5 times an hour when doing several things...open a file, open an audio-file, opening an effect-plugin, whatever. Problems were over when I installed Pro Application Support 3.0, have you tried that?? regards, Roland Yeah, tried that...is it possible to "go back" to 10.4.1? How would one do that?
  13. That's what is so vexing...on the ones that open correctly it runs like a champ...
  14. I should have known better...but I installed the update and now, some files open fine but others crash Logic on opening...can't figure out if the "bad" sessions have anything in common. Dang it. When will I learn about updates...anyone having any similar expereiences? TIA By the way, this forum absolutely rocks...
