  1. That’s the weird thing. Nothing in the user components folder.
  2. Legend @des99! I hadn't done that trick in a long time. I did one thing differently, though. I removed all the Components. Ran Logic—which still scanned 500+ audio units.. I have NO idea where it found those since the Components folder was completely empty! Anyway, that caused no issues. Then I put all the Components back into the folder, reran Logic and no stalling on anything, no issues. Must have been some weird glitch. Anyway, resolved and thanks again!
  3. Hey guys, sudden annoying behavior in LPX where every time I open it it tries to rescan my Audio Units, but it just stalls at the 0th one, so there's no info on which plugin is the issue, and I've let it just sit for at least 15 minutes on several occasions. It just won't budge. The only way to keep things going is to abort the scan. All my plugins work fine and seem to be ok. There are a few that failed validation and I don't mind getting rid of hem, but removing the Components on the Library isn't working because the scan doesn't get past this initial blockage. Any thoughts/help, without me resetting Logic completely would be great! Thanks!
  4. Nope, that's just Logic (ironic)... The tempo is always based on a quarter note. Annoying. I've asked for this to be changed many times, but I guess it's not a priority.
  5. This wasn't my thread to begin with, but I found it looking for EXACTLY this issue, so ... three years later... thank you, David!!!
  6. Before my Logic time... but I wish I were around to experience the “human touch dongle”. They just don’t make things like they used to. LOL
  7. Glad it worked for you. That feature has been in Logic since ... I don't remember when: Logic 7? It's been there a long while. Watch out for some of those hidden gems. There are a lot in Logic.
  8. If you’re tapping by a consistent division (e.g. a quarter note), then just use any midi instrument, record yourself tapping along on any note while the video plays, then beat map your performance using the Beats from Region function in the Beat Mapping lane in the Global Tracks.
  9. I'm on a late 2010 Mac Pro and it's pretty stable on my end (at least, no less stable than before)
  10. Was doing the same thing for me, too. Glad it’s now working again.
  11. I made a quick video that may help... keep in mind when I'm pressing down on the mouse, I've already got the CMD key held down. Don't let go of the CMD key until after you let go of the mouse button. http://musa212.com/temp/velocity_.mov
  12. Use the Pointer Tool in the Piano Roll Editor. Make sure the Velocity lane is visible below the notes, hold down CMD key while you drag over the velocities and the line you draw will change the velocities proportionally. Try it, but don't use too much of an angle or you'll blow all your notes too loud or too soft.
  13. because I'm on such an old system, I always thing it's just a matter of time when things stop working properly--just like my health LOL!
  14. and this! ... I thought I was going crayayazy! "It is again possible to create velocity ramps in MIDI Draw that maintain the existing relative values of note velocities."
