  1. I messed with so much stuff in the environment window in one project that I think I messed something up and Im not sure what. But when I opened a new project, created external midi and routed it to the aux it work... But now I cant figure out how to get the sound that im rewiring from reason to stop triggering with every key hit.. you follow?
  2. hey guys.. I have my external midi and auxiliary set up... the external midi is recorded like it should be but there is NO playback of the midi when I hit record.... What gives? please help.. Thanks EDIT: now the sound that im rewiring into logic wont stop being triggered even when its not solod or highlighted
  3. this is my first time rewiring reason into logic and im having the same issue! but when I uncheck it then I dont have any sound coming from my reason selected instrument.. This is killin me as I really wanna dig into and use the killer synthesis that reason offers.. while arranging in logic of course.. Please help..
  4. sig updated.. unfortunately its 2.0.. it was a gift from my brother..
  5. Ahh ic.. so I should keep samples and programs dealing with logic on the SSD for best performance?
  6. So, I have installed my Kingston hyperx 240gb SSD and now I am running that as my main drive.. I have my stock SATA in an enclosure and a Lacie 1TB external. My question is what should I leave on the SSD to help logic run best? Im using the lacie mostly for back ups... any feedback will help Im running logic 9 on my 2011 (Late) macbook pro.. processor- 2. 3 GHz I5 Memory- 16gb ram...
  7. I also have problems when mixing my big room/progressive stuff as it calls for many layers! can you allaborate as to how you mixed your huge saw?
  8. You can use the recovery partition to create an bootable installer with a USB stick or external drive: Startup the hardware you need an image for from the Recovery HD by holding Command-R when powering on. Plug in a HFS+ formatted external disk - either partition on an external HDD or 8 GB USB stick. Select the Re-install OS X Lion option and target the external disk. Once the Installer finishes downloading, simply shutdown and unplug the disk. Now when you mount that external disk you will find a directory named Mac OS X Install Data on the root. Inside of this folder is the elusive, hardware-specific, InstallerESD.dmg image. Use disk utility to restore that dmg file to a USB key But the easiest method is cloning your drive to the new SSD using Super Duper. so I got my ssd the other day, (Kinston hyperx) and im going to install it this weekend.. The install should be easy for me and I plan on cloning my existing HD to to SSD. I will make my current HD into an external. After this process what is the best way to back up the drives? I was thinking another external for back ups... Or could my mac drive be used for back ups? Also what should I leave on my SSD.. I run logic of course with a lot of VSTs and plugins.. what should I run off my SSD and what will be best kept for storage on my stock HD? Thanks again for bearing with me! Im good using the computer but this installing new hardware is a new territory for me
  9. oh ok I was confused because I didnt get a disc... Lion was loaded onto my computer when I bought the macbook while I was checking out...
  10. I understood but youre not answering my question.. I know I can keep the OS on my drive that I have now.. but if I want to move it to the SSD do I have to buy it again ?.. sorry if im confusing you... im not the best at this stuff..
  11. Yes I have it, ill use it as an external in an enclosure.... but doesnt it make your computer more efficient to run the OS of the SSD?
  12. so I picked up an SSD on newegg! cant wait for it to come in.. Ive been reading around and was wondering what you guys put on your SSD other than the OS? Ive found a few people saying they put all their samples and sample libraries on the SSD along with the OS and DAW related stuff... and the external holds everything else/backs things up! Just trying to get an idea as to how people manage multiple hard drives.. thanks edit: also is it true that I will have to buy my MAC os over again for it to be installed? a guy at geek rescue stated this..
