  1. Hi everyone, Debut forum post from me. Hope someone can help. In order to run redundant tracks live with two synced macs, I need computer A to play a drone tone into my audio switch (play12 atm). If the sine, just for a fraction of a micro second drops out, the switch will go to computer B instead. My issue: It all seem to be up and running, and I hit play. Then the play12 switches to comp B. Annoying - I figured that when I hit play, my logic cuts the sine for a millisecond and this is causing the switching. My colleagues don’t have this issue, it seems to only be my computer that can’t be connected to the gear. But why? I want to fix this. I’ve fooled around, changing buffet size and a lot of stuff as I wondered if it could be some kind of “reset” message that was being sent to the softsynths. I’ve been searching the web, but can’t find any answers. I’ve tried different oscillators (iConnectivtys own LifeSine, Logics Test Oscillator, and a bunch of others), but the issue remains. Any thoughts? As my everyday work horse, the Mac works fine and I don’t have any other issues with logic or plug-ins in my daily usage. It’s just this very small and stupid problem.
  2. Im having the exact same challenge.. Was it ever solved for you?
  3. Im new to this forum, but figured i would have to register somewhere in order to get my problems solved (as it was impossible to find out anywhere on the web). I run Logic 9 on MacBook Pro with OSX Snow Leopard. Connected to the laptops firewire 400 port, I have an old 828mk2 with midi in/out. Connected to the 828s midi in, I have a roland drum module. Everything works fine with audio in all ways, but this weekend I needed to trigger some sound effects from my drum pads (midi cable to 828, firewire from 828 to Macbook), but didnt get any signals in Logic. I checked the 828 and clearly signals was recieved, but Logic dint get any of them. Im no "advanced" Logic user, but tried to check the "midi port in" on the track i had assigned. In the list I chose "any" instead of one of the numbers from 1-12(or so). Why wont Logic get the signals? Are there some other places I can set up exactly where Logic should look for midi-signals?
