  1. Is there a way to selectively turn off gestures on the track pad? Something I am doing is changing the horizontal proportion of the notes in score editor. I can't exactly isolate it, but it seems like I am just trying to move the cursor and all of a sudden the notes are stretched out as wide as possible. i don’t think it I am holding down a key at the time, but it always takes me by surprise and I haven’t bee able to do it intentionally. Is there a file like the key map somewhere for gestures on the trackpad?
  2. Thanks for the very quick response, David! unfortunately, that choice is greyed-out.
  3. I am trying to double the length of notes in a phrase. I select the 4 bars of the phrase, click on midi transform and select half speed. When the window opens, I click on "operate only". The notes just disappear. I attached a screenshot the transform window. I have watched videos where it appears to work that way exactly, so I am at a loss.
  4. Great, thanks! How should this get reported to Apple?
  5. I have played around with it again, elevating a point for a note on the expression curve for any instrument, then clicking on the note right after it. All the notes from the one that I clicked, on that same track, do not sound anymore. The note I changed the expression on still sounds and is showing the correct duration bar. I enclosed an example screenshot. Note that the selected note showing a duration is the one note after the original one (the one at the beginning of bar 41, where the green line is) that will show a duration bar, and it is shorter than it should be. Very weird, but at least it is something somewhat reproducible!
  6. The selected note always disappears when I restart Logic. I think when you open it in logic on your machine it starts in a new state. When I took the screen shot of the piano roll the note was not highlighted on that page, but that is another symptom of the problem. After I took the screen-shots, the long-duration bar was still highlighted when I hit “save”. I donkt think you will ever be able to recreate the exact problem, I think it is ephemeral, an artifact of the running instance of Logic.
  7. Here is the project file. Let me know if you have a problem with any of them. NocturneNightJuneSWAM091322.zip
  8. That did not take long! I have attached screen shots of the score editor, piano roll and I threw in the event editor for good measure. I will attached the zip of the project to another message. 3screenshots.zip
  9. Ok, I will be working on the same project again today. When it happens I will stop, take the screen shot, and post that with the project. Thanks for the continuing interest.
  10. Unfortunately, what I have said is all I can tell you. It happens when I am concentrating on manipulating the expression curve and the velocity for a particular part. The is no other pattern I can discern.
  11. That is what I thought, too. That is why I posted it here. I posted the same thing to Apple as a bug.
  12. Sorry for not replying sooner. Other than owning the same software, I have no idea. When I asked the question I was hoping someone else had seen the behavior using a different setup. It is probably related to one of the proprietary plugins implementation of Apple Silicon. Thanks for at least considering the problem.
  13. That screen shot is an example of what it looks like. I grabbed it a little while back and am just now getting around to posting this. I have editied the file since then. The problem does not always happen in the same place anyway. It shows up in whatever area, with whatever instrument, I am working with. Sorry if that was confusing.
