  1. Same experience here, it worked for a little while and then I cleaned up my plugins via the manager and once it failed the scan there was no getting the multi-output working again.
  2. I tried again on a blank project, then fired up my template and somehow it works as expected now. Not sure what happened, but problem solved? haha.
  3. It does enable flex time automatically, but the content still doesn't seem to be processed until I open the editor and click "edit" for each new region. Maybe something in my template is preventing it?
  4. I've got my template set up with smart tempo on Adapt, project settings for new recordings set to "On - align beats and bars", however whenever I record a new region I have to open the editor and click "edit" to get it to analyze smart tempo before it will conform to the project. Isn't the idea of the project settings to do that automatically?
  5. The AlphaTrack still works, please see this thread for instructions: http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=516184&sid=2a8e3501935a6fe20f3183c7096e6bc2#p516184
  6. The Faderport actually can be made to work with Logic Pro X, you just need to find the 64-bit midi device plugin and manually move it into the Logic app folder via "show package contents". You'll have to do this after every update as well. Its been a while since I looked this up but its out there in a support post by Presonus somewhere. The Frontier Alpha Track also can be made to work, and also requires some diligent googling and workarounds. I recently changed from a Faderport to the Alpha Track and I love it. It doesn't require an external power supply and displays a lot more feedback about what is going on. The Faderport was great though too, and easier to find.
  7. Credit to this forum post here: http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=60691 The idea is that SIP must be disabled for the system to recognize the USB driver again. If you reboot into recovery mode by restarting while holding cmd+R, open the Terminal from the Utilities menu and type: csrutil disable; reboot Your mac will restart and the AlphaTrack will be active again. [edit]: So in my case the system was recognizing my previous installation but Logic wasn't working correctly with it. Removing the old installation and then following the instructions in the post linked fixed the issue. Disabling SIP alone might not do it, but the rest of the process outlined should.
  8. Just tested and it appears the bug still persists.
  9. You could try a De-Esser maybe, or cut what you need to cut out with EQ and then trigger a sample to add just the crack back in for the snare.
  10. I've got the mid 2014 15" with the discrete GPU and I haven't noticed this problem. I don't use an external monitor though, so maybe thats the difference.
  11. Definitely contact the manufacturer. The voltage can usually be easily taken care of by the wall-wart or internal power supply, however the frequency cannot be easily changed and only they can tell you if the difference will cause it do to weird things or be damaged.
  12. One thing I like to do is have a 'basic' template that has a few auxes already set up with reverb and delay, and sub mixes that I usually use in any project. That way if I'm building something and I want a bit of reverb its easy to send to "room verb" or "big verb" instead of getting bogged down in hunting for the perfect reverb sound. I've got about 4 instances of reverb preset for common settings from small to large. Anything that I find myself doing a lot every time I start up a project I try to add to my basic template, that way it remains open and unrestricted but also has most of the miscellaneous work taken care of.
  13. Another +1 for Valhalla. I've got Room and use it as my go to reverb, and just picked up Ubermod the other day after demoing it for a really long time. I always ended up throwing it on guitar for a tape delay when I play at home and nothing comes close to how good it sounds. It is an awesome chorus as well.
  14. Look, you can either exhaust all your options in trying to troubleshoot this problem, or you can ignore obvious advice from a few of us. You're talking about spending money to fix a hardware issue but you haven't even tried a system update yet. Like it or not, it is a possibility.
