  1. Yeah, it's a little visually cryptic, I've never seen that area zipped up like that before on any previous machine, so relieved )
  2. After trashing my User Folder structure I read your last message, restored an earlier Logic from Time Machine, went in and dragged open the separator lines and behold: my User Folders accessible in Plugin Manager. I wouldn't have got here without your help, des99. Big up my8.
  3. That's the strange thing, I can't add a new folder, there's no controls for that function visible. So I went ahead and restored all default settings for Plugin Manager, still nothing. So then I restored Logic's default prefs and still no folder options in P Manager. May have to reinstall Logic? Would you agree?
  4. I think I must have originally copied that Databases folder. And I'm sad to report that copying it again (just to be 100%) has not made a difference.
  5. Could you let me know where to find those, a search for 'tag database' files in Logic hasn't brought up any results.
  6. Ah, maybe I didn't move those, I'll investigate
  7. I've successfully moved a lot of CST's, AU presets etc etc from a MacBook Pro (Catalina) to an iMac Pro (Big Sur) but something's gone slightly adrift with Plugin Manager. In the instrument or fx select box on the channel strip I can see my plugs arranged in my User folders as expected. I can also select from those folders. But when I go to Plugin Manager the User folders aren't there, only the normal list of all my plugs. Any hope of restoring these User folders to the Plugin Manager?
  8. That's a new one on me, hope you can solve it. Seems no-one here has any experience of this, I may have to try re-installing Logic.
  9. Double-checking if I have a pre-listen/preview track under All in the Mixer I don't find one there so a routing issue could seem to be the case. David addressed this in another thread here: viewtopic.php?t=36441
  10. I've got a problem where loops play normally while track playhead is stationary, but try to make a loop (audio or midi) play to a track and the waveform display beneath the loop browser flatlines (ie no waveforms visible) and nothin plays to the track. With the playhead paused everything is fine: loop waveforms are visible and loops play as expected. So near yet so far, this is sending me bananas, can anyone comment or advise? Just re-indexed to rule that problem out before posting here, no improvement :-/
  11. Super-helpful, thinking of making the jump to M2 later this year as Silicon takes over (the world)
  12. Perfect, cheerz des99 & David, I've learned a lot and the inertia associated with midi recording from a guitars been counteracted.
  13. I wondered what that 2nd row was about, more good info, cheerz. Only problem I have is that Midi Transform somehow fails to save my presets, they show up in the bottom of the list named correctly, then I close and reopen Logic and they're gone. Weird but not so wonderful. I can't see any 'save' routine?
