problem solved for now..... did a rescan in the plugin manager.... why would this happen? any ideas?

launching now..... about a third of the way into launching the progress bar stops while loading the klopfgeist for close to a minute.... then a blank desktop.... then project finally opens with un operable plugins.

so, absolutely every Logic session goes thru at least a minute or more to launch and then there are no plugins loaded and appear in blue but not openable.

new development.... when I double click one of the plugins that appear to be activated the plugin window doesn't show up.... so, it looks like none of the plugins have loaded properly. When I closed down yesterday everything was fine.

hi David, no they don't.... These seem to be random choices on Logic's part.... one channel has a successful instance of Melodyne and another doesn't. If you check the screenshot it doesn't make a lot of sense.

another follow up.... seems to be happening with multiple sessions.... launching time takes forever.

follow up.... this also includes some waves plugins. Upon launching the session Logic Pro x gets hung up on the klopfgeist for 30 seconds or so and then launches with some plugins missing. Very strange.

Did a ton of work yesterday in this session... quite a bit of tuning in Melodyne, added some UAD plugins etc. Upon opening today some of the plugins are not activated. They're in blue but I can't open them.... any ideas?

yes, I know it's difficult to understand.... every other staff should be connected to the upper staff... as you can see in bar 8 there's a figure that gets finished in the staff below it. I think I got it. It took me a long time to figure out how to delete a staff bu8t it's all good now.... Why would Logic default to such an assinine layout?

weirdest thing going on.... a simple viola part on one midi channel is splitting the part into two sections. looks like notes above and below a certain note get sent to another track.... why in god's name would logic just decide to do this? 2 friggin' hours out of my day!

I removed the whole components folder... Logic started to launch but still the beach ball spin.... could not access Logic Pro.

thanks David, I went about that process... updated Logic Pro and relaunched. Logic Pro appears to be open in the dock but I have no access to the LP menu up top. I can only force quit. I have a 2019 MacBook Pro with Monterrey 12.6.3. and the latest Logic Pro..... I can't even open a session that I need to work on.... any ideas?

I use studio one and Logic Pro and two different computers.... When I open Logic Pro on my laptop, I go thru a long process of scanning plugins from old subscriptions that are not active anymore.... what's a quick and dirty way to bypass this absolute PITA?
