  1. I did it! Thank you. It seems a bit clumsy and time costly to figure out which set you might want to use. Do you know what I mean?
  2. Absolutely I was trying to play with that and thought the same thing. For me now I just send that stack to it own bus. Like for this example Drums but yes that would be awesome!
  3. Hey everyone! I have a question about market sets. Does anyone know how to move them to another project? Or know where they are saved in the project file? I was wondering because if Logic saved to a central location like a library, through time you would create your own template library of composition templates or song forms to use at your disposal like a coloring book for composers or at least I would. Also how would we import them into your working project? It would be great if we can have access to all of them just like the instrument library. Anyway thats it. I hope that makes sense. I compose for work so this would be a great production tool to have to speed up ideation flow. Best Regards
  4. Yes It seems from my teaching out, 10.11.6 with logic is the way to go. Thank you for your responses. Much Appreciated. Best Regards
  5. Hi everyone, I have an early jan 2008 Mac Pro with 32g of ram and solid state main drive and running OS 10.10. Im running into issues of my current OS not being current enough to keep up with plugin updates and ap updates. I want to avoid crashes and spinning wheel of death and have the most solid, smooth set up as possible which is why I'm not updating. So, with that being said... Who has a similar older computer running logic smoothly and staying somewhat current with OS and is able to use the latest logic or what is the stablest logic version for an older computer like mine? What Logic and OS X versions are you guys having success with?
  6. Bounce-in-place now works for MIDI regions on tracks assigned to auxiliary channels receiving input from a multi-out Software Instrument. Uuuge!!!
  7. I wanted to know what to do about upgrading Logic and OS with an older computer. I have an early January 2008 mac pro 8 core with 20g of ram. I am currently running mountain lion and logic 10.0.7. Everything is working fine but always wanting to stay current with updates (even though sometimes there a pain in the ….) for obvious reason. Im hesitant to upgrade OS because of the age of my computer. Question: Do I upgrade to Yosemite to be able to upgrade to current Logic updates? Will it (computer) be able to handle the newer OS? or am I causing more problems and should stay put?
  8. Hey guess what? i got it!! Thanks man. I looked at the event list before but it wasn't showing any midi ch. so click on some buttons and voila there they were. So very cool. I set up ch accordingly and bounced out the channels… Thanks again!!
  9. Ok forgive me how do you do that. Or can you walk me through a little. I am not sure what you mean. Click the pics and it will give you full size of my whole screen with the open Kontakt to see how there're routed. heres another shot.( Click on the pic itself)
  10. Hey Jordi, Ok, I tried this again thinking I missed something(I did have it set before to "All" before I took the pic). But Same thing. I am not sure if its how I have it set up in Kontakt or what so I took more pics of my steps.
  11. Ok, I have searched all of and still can not seem to find what I am looking for which us: To be able to quickly bip several midi regions to separate audio tracks i.e. Brass section from Kontakt that has various brass sounds. I have tried the suggestions from user: Jordi Torres and only get a sum of all the tracks to 1 stereo file. I did it several ways and double checked to make sure I wasn't forgetting anything. The one way that did work was exporting all files which added the audio to my Bin which is great but then you have drag everything in place and can be time consuming. This is great for after composing and need to bounce out stems for mixing etc IMO. So for workflow in the heat of composing to be able to quickly bIP would be very useful. any help would be great I have looked on YouTube and other forums and can not find this type of scenario. Heres a pic of me trying to practice dif options:
  12. Anyone! David! No wants to chime in? Is this a question for the Cats and not the Kittens? Is there any Cats out there?
  13. My name is Yanick Vincent and I am a composer out in LA area. I am currently working on a TV show (trying to get pieces in). I am always trying look for ways to improve upon workflow. I wanted to know a few things from you (if you would share): 1) What version of Logic do you mostly use when you are working on projects? I am curious because all the current bugs in Logic X & Kontakt seems to be a constant battle with workflow for me. Which leads me to a question in regards to how you use kontakt? 2) Do you use Kontakt old school way (16 multi instrument midi cabled to inst. etc) or new school Multi Timbral. I ask this with the on going issue with the way logic spreads the old across cores. which leads me to my next question: 3) do you establish Logic templates that you refer to for various projects or do you piece meal as you go along? If so, would you be willing to share one with me to learn from; how you go about routing things etc. i am asking these question because I am running into issues of computer resources. I have some possible solutions that I am aware of and perhaps you could share some suggestion for me. I have a 2008 early Jan Mac pro with 20g ram. All bays are using sata drives which I know these can be upgraded to solid state drive but is not cheap. I was thinking of at least starting with upgrading my Main Drive to solid state if that would give me some more punch. Also my other bays if theres an proper way of setting up these drive to balance load with various libraries to stream. Or if to get a card of some sort to use a type of external Raid system or to stick with internal bays? Something else i am wondering is if its worth it to upgrade my video card. Would upgrading give me some more juice? I current have the lowest standard card at the time (ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256 MB). Overall I am pondering how much more time I have using this computer being 6 years old and with Logic and Os requiring more cpu ( i have not upgraded to Mavericks because I am uncertain about bugs and sucking more resources etc). should I aim at upgrading the computer (more ram, solid state drive) or by new computer. Of course everyone wants the latest and greatest. however I currently don't have the finances to buy new MacPro computer. i have friends that are saying the new mac mini are fantastic ( I saw you have one) This is more realistic for me but how to set it up? Do I link the mac mini to my current mac pro and use mac pro as a slave? Or get rid of Mac Pro. ( so many questions and decisions… the pain I am dealing with) jk these are my question that I am seeking guidance for. Thank you for your time and any help will be greatly appreciated Yanick Vincent
