  2. Im new to the whole studio scene an a I want to start investing, I currently have a casio ctk-720 midi keyboard that is cheap but gets the job done, I have a mac book pro and for audio im using a home theatre system..i have 8 speakers across my room the room is like a 25x20 so its pretty big and I lile the sound..im a fulltime student with no job so its tough..my budget is about 200 right now and I wanna know what are important xomponents I will be needing ! Itd be nice if i can get a list of whats really needed..my main focus is to compose hip hop, pop, and electronic type music...not trying to make audio recording right now..just instrumentals, sorry for gramatical errors im on my phone atm, thanks!
  3. sorry about that i didnt post it right. i downloaded a kit and im trying to figure out how to import it in logic and use it so like i have a RNB kit. in the RNB Kit folder it has HiHat.wav snare.wave basically numerous instruments but in wav files with nothing attached. do i have to open up ultrabeat and import them manually, or can i just place the folder in the library? thats where im lost.
  4. this is my second post on importing sounds, last time i didnt know how to import exs24 files and now this. i downloaded some KITS they come in a folder and in the folder their all wav files. last time i needed help i was shown that exs24 method...how there is like a preset..the .exs and a folder for the sounds...now i downloaded the KITS and there wav files... how can i import them and use them? thanks!! and sorry for the dumb question, im learning! oh and happy fathers day..lol
  5. what instruments do you use? and whats your first approach when you have the idea in your head..whats your first initial step?
  6. niceee thats smart and plan on doing that. i get inspired by listening to music and getting a little pathway..but when i want to create a song (havent even been able to make my first one or even start it) im just dead and dont even know where to begin! its frustrating but im really into music and cant give up haha., i play the keyboard. but im fairly new to the keyboard itself and Logic Pro, any advice or tips for someone like me who is really new to this and wanting to compose? thanks !
  7. ahh you just saved my life! THANKS!! and sorry i know to you that was perhaps a dumb question but im trying to learn the program haha.
  8. to paraphrase what you said and what i did was...i made a new SOFTWARE INSTRUMENT track..by inserting an exs24, i attempted to grab a .exs file and place it below the "I/O" upon doing that nothing happen. also noting that the exs file and the audio folder to the exs file is under Logic > Sampler Instruments
  9. im new to logic pro and being a composer as well..im young and im barely getting a set up going and everything...at the moment i have a midi keyboard a mac laptop and logic pro 9 my big question can be asked after my story...im always getting the chance to get on the keyboard after i come home from a long day and im just dead..i get inspired so much to create music and everything when i listen to songs and all..but when im sitting behind my computer and keyboard im just dead? so my question is, when you guys are starting from scratch..whats the first thing you guys do? the more detail the better!! thanks guys and i look forward to hearing !

So I'm New And I Need help getting new instruments..i want to know if its possible to open my library and have it there already. i got some EXS24 files with audio files attatched and its a big hassle opening up ultrabeat and to top it off im doing it wrong...how can i open up logic pro..go to my library where my default instruments that came with the program already are and open up some aftermarket instruments right there as well? or if thats not possible can someone show me how to do the ultra beat method? thanks and being specific will really help since im NEW and clueless to thiss program as i am a beginner! once again thanks and this is my first post so dont be so harsh!! looking forward to contributing aswell !
