  1. Did that and still couldn't pin it down because it's so intermittent, but noticed there was automation to bypass a plugin on a bus at the point it's doing that. Could that cause weird noise like that?
  2. I'm not using any external gear. Also, not quite sure I follow what you're saying about Logic cycling at bar 61 instead of 64. I have the cycle set up for bars 59 and on, but I'm also manually stopping it after two bars of playback. This was a session given to me by somebody else. There are some Izotope plugins I don't have, but have turned all of them off and those tracks are muted, still hearing it. Nope, double checked that and don't see any.
  3. Ah got it, yea this wouldn't work in my situation because there are already regions with content that I'd be pasting the automation over. I'm surprised Logic doesn't have a better way to deal with multiple automation lanes at once.
  4. Hey all, I attached a video of my problem here, towards the end of this two bar phrase, there is a glitchy bleep sound. I've heard other weird sounds at other points in the timeline, like digital noise. Although it doesn't happen every time I playback, and I hear it with other tracks soloed as well. Any ideas where this might be coming from? logic-weirdness_2.mp4
  5. OK, I think the actual problems i was experiencing with pasting the automation might have been user error, or might have been logic behaving strangely, whether it was because I was loading files from a new version into an older version, or something else. But now everything seems to be working fine for me. Thanks for the all of the replies, I know there were some others on here that were also experiencing this, so maybe there's still something to glean from it. Also, another part of the question was, is there any way to take a whole part of the timeline, copy all automation lanes from all tracks, and paste that in a different part of the timeline?
  6. Nope, start marker is at 1.1.1. It pastes at original position it was copied from. I'm trying to paste it a a different point in the timeline though.
  7. Yea same, I select entirety of song length from bar 1, copy and move playhead to start of bar 1 for where i want to paste, the nodes end up at least a beat behind where they should line up.
  8. Hey everybody, I'm working on a mixing project that involves the same song that is transposed in all 12 keys and in 3 different speeds, so a total of 36 copies spread out across the arrange view. I have a good amount of automation that I need to transfer to each iteration of the song. My first question, is there a way to copy all automation data from every single track in one fell swoop and paste that in a different section of the arrangement? The second question is when I try to copy and paste one automation lane, it's not lining up correctly. I'm wondering if this has to do with the fact that there is tempo automation for the different speeds, although it seems like that shouldn't affect it as the grid stays the same. Right now, when I copy paste, it's off by a few beats, so this could end up being very time consuming if I have to copy/paste and move by hand for every one of these. Thanks for your time!
  9. Hey all, working on mixing a project for a client. They have a software instrument track set up with one of the drum kits loaded in and existing midi regions with data in the project. The hihat notes aren't triggering the hihat sample, although when i press the corresponding key on the piano roll keyboard or play it on my midi keyboard, it plays. If i create new notes for the hats, those will playback fine. All of the other drum elements are playing back no problem. I've attached a video to outline the problem I'm facing. I've tried creating a new software instrument track, loading a drumkit on there, and moving the existing midi regions to that track with the same result. I've also tried cutting all of the hat notes and pasting them back in the region with no luck. Any idea what's going on here? Thanks. logic_issue1.mp4
  10. Hey all, I'm having this weird issue where every time I duplicate a track or create a new track, it's automatically frozen. This is a headache when I'm trying to dupe a track with a software instrument or create a drummer track as the software instrument will just not load. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing? Can't seem to find how to have it not default to this. Thanks! I'm on Logic 10.7.3
  11. Welp, it's not letting me upload. Said the compressed file was still too big.
  12. Got it, that makes sense. Here's a current file that is having this behavior. not sure if my saved point will show what automation lane I'm talking about, but it's on the track entitled "Synth Melody Riser", and the lane I'm running into this is "Arp Rate All". I have bar 118 on a cycle, and playing it from the beginning of that cycle will not play the automation at beginning of cycle. It will sometimes play it on the subsequent passes.
  13. I'm sorry, not quite sure what TBA and RBA are.
  14. Hey all, So here's what I'm running into. I'll be cycling, say, a 4 bar loop. I'll have automation snap on, and will snap an automation point to the downbeat of the first bar of the loop. When I start playback, or if it loops and repeats playback, it won't register that first node of automation, so if I'm looping trying to get the automation the way I like, I'll have to either start the cycle a beat or bar before or move the automation node just past the downbeat. Any way for logic to register those in that situation? I'm thinking that seems like a chase feature, although can't seem to find any settings about chase regarding automation.
