  1. Same problem. Stuck notes happen as of a couple of upgrades ago. Depending on the synth the midi panic doesn't always work either. It would be a good thing for Apple to fix!
  2. I've been using the mid-side functionality of a single dual mono instance of the linear phase eq for years. I recently saw somebody achieve the same effect using two instances of the eq but one in mid mode and the other in side mode from the processing drop down in the front panel. Is there a difference? It seems to me it accomplishes the same thing but with one less slot used up, therefore less processing power required??? Just curious.
  3. Hi - does anyone know the key command to switch the track displayed in a piano roll popup window? I've done it by accident but can't figure out how to do it deliberately! Thanks.
  4. That would probably work - I just ended up assigning a midi control switch to the parameter in the synth that reads the sync and using automation. Kind of a cheap and easy solution, but it would be nice if there was a setting within Logic that disabled internal sync output when it was in stop.
  5. Hi - is there a setting - or a way - to stop LPX from sending it's clock out when in stop. I'm using a synth that is reading the clock even when Logic is stopped, causing it to trigger it's LFO, which in turn is triggering notes. Logic Pro x 1.7.3. M1 Mac mini Thanks.
  6. That woks really well - thank you. Now I have to get used to doing that!
  7. I often forget to close the floating piano window (command-4) and end up with several of them stacked up. I know this is a workflow problem for me - I should just remember to close the windows, but it is making me crazy as I have to close them one at a time. I looked for a command key to close just piano window but couldn't find anything. Any advice??? Thanks!
  8. Fantastic! Thanks David. And congratulations on the success and longevity of this site -- I posed questions years ago and you were always able to help -- it's good to see the Logic community is alive and well!
  9. Hi - I just switched over to a M1 Mac mini and am running the latest version of Logic. I am getting an error message pointing out that some hardware instruments I used to have, are connected to a midi interface that I no longer have. The interface and the instruments do not appear in Audio Midi setup, so Logic is remembering them somewhere, but I can't figure out where. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  10. Is there a way to turn midi efx off or on with automation? I can't seem to find that..... Thanks. NEVER MIND. Found it -- had to look under modulation drop down.
  11. Hi -- I'm encountering a strange problem. During playback I get an audio pop and the playback continues but there is no audio. The Activity Monitor is also showing a lot of activity even when Logic is stopped. I'm on an older Mac (mid 2011) using High Sierra 10.13.6 and still using Logic 10.4.8. The sequence is using one synth (Full Bucket ModulAir) which I've used before with no problems. Any ideas? Thanks!
  12. Thanks David. I tried that -- in fact I have to use Low Latency mode a lot, but it didn't help -- this is really strange in that everything is a perfect 1/2 beat late - and just on the producer kits. I'll keep experimenting. Thank you.
  13. I've just starting using the Logic kits more and have found that when playing in midi with producer kits everything records out of time - late - by about 1/2 beat. Obviously this is irritating as could be. The same kits, not as producer kits, but as multi-output record fine. Anyone else ever have this? Logic 10.4.8 High Sierra 10.13.6 2013 iMac Thanks.
