  1. Any fixes for this yet? I just loaded 3.3.2 on a new Mac and I'm having the same issue with sustain pedal data to external instruments.
  2. Just downloaded version 3.3!! Checking it out now!!
  3. I found an error in my programming. I had an alias that was going to an external instrument. I wanted to change it to a different non-aliased external instrument and did it form the pull down menu on the channel instead of creating a new channel. Corruption solved! Back in business!!
  4. So after upgrading my os to El Capitan all was well running MS 3.0.4 UNTIL……. Last night I was doing some work on a concert and editing a set that used aliases to an external instrument. When I went to open it up today it would not open and I got the warning "The Concert could not be opened, because it is corrupted." This would lead me to the fact that the corruption is due to the os and not MS. Any comments?? Thank God for Time Machine!!!
  5. Well I did the upgrade to El Capitan and everything seems fine! I also upgraded Kontakt to 5.6 as well. So to answer my own question YES MS 3.0.4 runs in OSX 10.11.6!!
  6. Because my rig is stable and running great I have not upgraded MainStage from version 3.0.4 and os 10.8.5. I want to upgrade my os to 10.11.6. Is anyone running 3.0.4 in 10.11.6? Do I have to upgrade MS?
  7. Depending on how many sounds (channel strips) you want to switch between I use the bypass function and assign a foot pedal or switch to it in toggle mode. I then assign the switch/pedal to one sound (channel strip) and assign the other to the same switch/pedal and set it to be bypassed and invert the parameter range.
  8. Glad you guys like this device! It's nice and small and really gets the job done!!
  9. This works great! http://www.audiofront.net/MIDIExpression.php
  10. Never mind I figured a way around it! I used the script that Unheardofski wrote to change channels and added after a simple cc to note change script! Thanks guys!!!!
  11. Thanks for the Script! It works fine, but I am having a problem with it. It seems to only output midi notes to channel 1. I have my midi channel set to ch13. All the notes from my keyboard are going to the correct channel. (coming in on ch 1 sending out to ch 13). but the control numbers are not rechannelizing. Is there something I am missing?
  12. Thanks for posting! You can do this all in your Mac. In my setup the external instrument is Kontakt in stand-alone mode. You can midi to Kontakt thru the virtual bus that Kontakt creates or use an IAC bus. For some reason the virtual bus will not show the routing that the IAC bus does.
  13. I have posted this before but unfortunately I wrote my chart wrong. I'm hoping this is a bit clearer. I am having a problem with Mainstage ever since version 3 came out. I have three sustain pedals coming in. They are being transmitted to Mainstage on midi channel 1. They are sending cc#s 64 66 and 67 respectively. I create a channel strip that is being sent to an external midi instrument on any midi channel other than 1. In the assignments and mappings window, I assign the pedal that is coming in as cc66 to cc64. The external instrument will sustain, but it does not get an off value of zero when the pedal is released! If I create an IAC bus and send that channel strip to a stand alone instrument, Kontakt for instance, then open the Midi Message Monitor window, this is what I see - It appears that Mainstage is not sending the pedal off (0) to the external channel (bus) on the correct channel. Instead of sending it to midi channel 14 it is going to midi channel 1. Can anyone confirm if this is a bug? Can you please check it yourself?
  14. A little more info. I have three pedals coming in from a Logidy UMI3 box. They are coming in on midi ch1. The three pedals are assigned to cc64 cc66 and cc67. In my patch I am assigning (remapping) cc66 to cc64. the other pedals are blocked and not passing any info thru. When I send the cc info to an external midi instrument on ch1 thru an IAC Bus all is well. The problem occurs when I change the external instrument to any other channel. The instrument gets the sustain command but does not get the message to stop sustaining and sustains indefinitely. When I look at the midi monitor within MainStage this is what I see Time Port Channel Message Value (time) Logidy UMI3 Channel 1 Control Change: 66 (sostenuto) 127 (time) Bus 1 Channel 11 Control Change: 64 (sustain) 0 (time) Logidy UMI3 Channel 1 Control Change: 66 (sostenuto) 127 (time) Bus 1 Channel 1 Control Change: 64 (sustain) 0 The External midi does not get a zero value on the correct midi channel. This only happens with when the input cc is redirected to cc64.
