  1. If anyone is curious, the answer is to clear Logic's AU cache. 🫢
  2. In the past, to remove a third party plug-in from Logic I just deleted the plug-in in the Components folder and the plug-in would no longer show up in Logic (i.e. Plug-In Manager). However, after removing the plug-in for 'Steven Slate Drums' from the Components folder the plug-in still shows up in Plug-In Manager. Any workarounds for permanently deleting this plug-in from Logic? Thanks.

  5. Picked up the newly released UAFX Lion '68 Super Lead Amp pedal last week...sounds very good. Not inexpensive for a pedal but it seems worthy of its price so far. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/UALion--universal-audio-uafx-lion-68-super-lead-amp-pedal
  6. Just remembered, forgot to ask, does the sample rate in Audio/MIDI set up on one’s computer under Utilities play any role?
  7. That did it. Thanks! You set up a template for the first time and then Logic will follow the previous set sample rate going forward until you change it? I just downloaded 10.8 last week for my new computer…was coming from 10.6 and never had the problem I was having…at least that I can remember.
  8. Not the case in my experience on 10.8. Logic defaults back to 48 kHz every time when creating a new File.
  9. I heard from someone who personally knew Pete Townshend of The Who that Pete records in 96 kHz even though Pete can't hear any improvement at the higher sample rate. Apparently, Pete records at the higher sample rate in case someone else can hear the difference. 😄
  10. What about 96 kHz? There are posts on the Internet of people saying they hear a vast improvement in sound quality when working at that high of a sample rate.
  11. Thanks! Makes sense. Kind of also begs the question should I be working in 48 kHz or 44.1 kHz? I believe there's been plenty of discussion on that topic alone all over the Internet. 😂
  12. Hi, Sorry if this has been asked before. Whenever I start a new project in Logic 10.8 it defaults to 48 kHz. How do I have a new project default to 44.1 kHz? Not a huge deal since I can just change the sample rate to 44.1 kHz myself in Logic. But, I would prefer 44.1 kHz since it's less taxing on my computer. Thanks.
  13. U-he Zebralette Not sure if U-he's free Zebralette synth has been mentioned yet or not... https://u-he.com/products/zebralette/
  14. Michael Mann's 'Thief' soundtrack by Tangerine Dream is also absolutely stellar. Practically made the movie, IMHO. Here's an excerpt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqEujUKoi9Q
