  1. Ha, thanks and sorry for the lack of info there, and I see how this could be relate to many, many variables. I'm using mainly synthesizer software instruments, like Alchemy (non-samples), Sculpture, FM8, Massive, Chromaphone. Occasionally using EXS24. I'm definitely noticing the problem with Chromaphone However, I think I really need to do some more controlled testing of this issue on different instruments, and different settings, and I'll get back to you, hopefully with new insights! Thanks!
  2. Haha! I'll think about the sound source question, and try to give you some more info soon.
  3. Awesome! Just let me know when your ball is ready!
  4. Thanks David, that's awesome!
  5. Help! I'm working in MIDI notes, designing some volume-specific alarm sounds. And it's very inconsistent when I hit the play button (via spacebar or any other means) that the volume of my first MIDI note keeps changing! Sometimes it's loud, sometimes it's soft. The inconsistent playback happens even with a variety of playback methods: - Let the project cycle over and over - Hit play, then repeatedly hit "Enter" after tone is complete to bring playhead back to start - Hit play, let tone complete, then pause, then manually bring playhead to start, then hit play again In all these scenarios, the volume of the first note doesn't stay the same. Starting to think Logic just isn't build for detailed sound design like this? The timing of these notes is also really important, and I sort of need the notes to hit right at the zero point, in order to more easily track the interval timing. Does this issue ring a bell for anyone, and do you have any suggestions for more consistent playback? Thanks! ---- Currently running Logic Pro X 10.4.7 Issue has happened on every computer I've tried it on
  6. So I'm not really sure what to call this, but is there a way to use one set of automation data to parametrically "drive" a lot of different effect or VST parameters? Like in AfterEffects you can use Null Objects which have your "master" animation, then tie them to other layers to make those all move. That way all you have to do is adjust your master object and all the rest will parametrically update. I know you can copy and paste automation data from any parameter, just seeing if there's a simpler way to do it, where I wouldn't have to redo it if I make a change. I'm working on simulating an interactive, dynamic sound for a product, which requires a "map" of automation to determine how the sound dynamically changes. Thanks!
  7. My electric piano (audio file, not midi) track is playing into my vocal track; my drum track often doesn't play and when it does it can't be muted but plays really loud through the main stereo output. when I drag audio files into my logic session, sometimes they play and other times they don't. when selecting a bus channel, I now suddenly have a "mono" and "stereo" bus option to choose, which I don't know where it came from, and the bus tracks themselves are getting really screwy as well, can anyone begin to help me???
