I am getting some serious noise from my G5. It is the weirdest thing. I got a FURMAN M-8 Power Conditioner to suppress this noisey crap, but nothing is truely helping. Anyone else getting this? Symptoms: USB audio interface through my EDIROL PCR-A30. The EDIROL is RCA audio linked up to a Mackie mixer plugged into the same battery backup power source. My G5 is plugged into the same power battery source as this too. So, the noise.... The headphone jack in the EDIROL gives NO noise at all, when I play Logic tracks. The noise I speak of is coming out of the mackie mixer here. Mainly the headphone jack, both left and right. HOWEVER, the monitors only have noise out of one side (left). Noise itself: I get a hardrive reading sound ONLY when I am in Logic Pro. I have 2 internal drives in my G5. I also get a beeping about once a second. It is the weirdest thing I have heard from a computer. It sounds like a second ticker. That ticker starts RIGHT when my G5 starts up. But the hard drive sound is only when Logic starts up. When I play a track I can almost hear those sounds at low volumes. Any suggestions on cleaning this noise up? Thanks all.

You have your USB key, and the update? It may have something to do with that. I don't remember entering a code when I upgraded from 5.5 last December. Sorry if this doesn't help... someone has got to know....

Have you guys ever experienced NOT finding that folder location? I have icons in Logic 7.1.1, but I do NOT, repeat, do NOT have that folder location. I even search under the lastest OS X (Tiger) and have no "Logic Resources" folder.... Suggestions anyone? thanks.

Not necessarily yet. Yeah, I know, we all are interested in getting to know Logic better. But first, we gotta gather the group in Austin to actually get some communication. I would like to eventually help each other out and organize some meetings that are more serious. So yes, I would like to. Will there be the first meet-up, probably not much of it. Ideas anyone?

OH hell yeah! IT took some getting used to... but man all mighty it ROCKS THE SOCKS! At first, my least favorite is now my favorite! ACTION RADAR! Turn it up and enjoy! Yes, I mixed Thriller w/ that 2nd-to-last track and DAMN, I love the similarities between them. So fun! When they come to Texas, I am SO THERE w/ a few of my friends!

Hi guys- I found Sound Grinder 2.2.1 if you want another convertor.... I have been looking for a good conversion tool. I have tons of WAVs and MP3s, but the Loop Utility (Loop Browser) will convert WAVs or MP3s slowly becuase of the tags it saves on top of them. So.. I need a quick solution to convert all my files to AIFF, THEN take it to the loop browser/utility. So, I found Sound Grinder 2.2.1 on Apple.com. Anyone else getting lag from their PCR-30A? Its possible its my system, being 867MHz G4 Powerbook, via USB 1. But it has its own port, no hub w/ it. So I dunno. Thanks for any input.

Try you renvironment. Make certain all the required modules have correct connections, becuase it may recognize the input, but sitll not play it the connections are not complete, from what I have learned. Im no expert yet, but maybe that will help ya. I have a PCR-30A and it lags in sound sometimes. I am NOT diggin that either. Maybe Edirol needs to change a few small things to perfect their Logic integration.... hmmmm......

Can you batch import loops into Logic 7 Pro? Maybe you could attatch a few meta tags to a whole folder of similar sounds.... that would kick ass. Thanks with any help.
