I want to be sure to understand...
For example, I have a clarinet (multimic recording : 3 tracks). Let's say I need to put it on the left and automate its volume, then export the 3 individual tracks to give it to the mixer.
I see 3 options there, but you may have other ideas. Should I :
- create a track stack (folder or sum ?) and automate volume of the stack (In "folder option" there is no pan setting...)
- send the output to a bus that I can pan and automate
- "group" the 3 tracks (if "volume" and "pan" are checked in the group dialog box, I just need to edit one of the 3 tracks to get the two others mirroring the settings). This would be the best option here, but as my 3 tracks are made with 2 close mics + 1 stereo mic, I'm not sure if it's correct to move all signals to the left, no matter they are mono or stereo takes...
What's the best solution for using "export all tracks to audio" command, resulting in individual tracks without loss of pan/volume automation ?
And in case of a stem, how is it possible to make them pass in an actual audio track ? should I group them to (In my example, group all woodwinds without messing up all "sub-groups" like my clarinet)
