  1. Hey guys, Needing a little help. I haven't been able to get the categories I created with the Plugin Manager to show up in MainStage 3. They work fine in Logic Pro X, but when I open up MainStage, they don't appear. Anybody else experience this? Any thoughts on solving it? Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!
  2. Hey guys, I'm trying to make it so the color of a button stays lit when it's saved position is on. I'm using MainStage to run an external pedal board and I'd like the workspace to somewhat represent what's going on with the pedal. So if I have the saved CC I'm sending when the I switch to the patch working, I'd like the button to represent that CC is being sent, i.e. have it start out as lit. Is there an easy way to do this so everything will line up? Am I making sense? Any help would be awesome thank you!
  3. Hey guys, Having an issue with Playback in MainStage. Wondering if it's possible to reset the beat count at the start of every patch or as soon as I fire a playback on a new patch. I think there used to be a function for this but I can't find it. The metronome keeps starting in funky places and I'll like it to start on 0.1 with every new tune to lock into the backing track. Otherwise I'll need to create custom metronome audio files. This is possible? Please advise. Thanks again!
  4. Is this possible in MainStage 3? Using a bunch of bluetooth external midi devices and this would definitely make it clearer on my end as to what is what. Let me know if it's possible. I found an article explaining how to do it in Logic in the environment, wondering if there's something similar for MainStage - http://www.logic-users-group.com/forums/threads/can-i-name-midi-ports.5357/ Any help would be awesome. Thanks!
  5. Hey my man! No luck on figuring this out. Explain that work around again. You send the out to your miid controller? I feel like you're doing something more complex than me. I'm just looking to use a Midi FX Arp on a hardware synth and be able to turn it on or off during a song. I haven't messed with the other parameters. Note the mapping the parameters of Midi FX on software instruments works 100% fine. Any thoughts are welcome. Maybe we can figure out a work around together!
  6. Hey guys, Having some issues using Midi FX on external instrument channel strips. For some reason I'm unable to map screen controls to the different parameters of a Midi FX only when it's on an external instrument channel strip. The same Midi FX (the appreciator for example) is 100% mappable and responsive when I move it over to a software instrument. Would love to us Midi FX with some outboard gear and have full performance control over it. Been digging around online with no luck. Any feedback is welcome! Thanks!
  7. Hey guys. I'm trying to get certain aspects of a UVI synth to respond to channel pressure. That said most UVI synths don't allow you to assign channel pressure (as far as I can tell). Channel pressure, like pitch bend as I understand it, does not have a midi CC. That said you can use the mod wheel midi cc (or any other cc) to control these effects in UVI. I imagine there's a way to change this assignment in the Logic Pro X Control Surfaces and Assignments, but I only want aftertouch to control the mod wheel for that specific instrument. Suggestions?
  8. Hey I'm having issues with moving audio and automation. I'm editing a podcast and I'm needing all the audio to move in sequence together so that the conversation stays on track. Every time I move, the processing is taking a very long time. This is due to the automation I suspect. I'm not sure exactly, but it takes a long time to process even when I move a small piece of audio. Is this due to some setting I have? I am working on a Mac Mini Late 2014, 2.6 GHZ i5 16GB Memory on Logic Pro X with 1TB Drive. Thanks!
  9. Amazing this works great thank you David. Another couple quickies on this topic: 1. Is there a way to save the output routing for Battery to make it consistent with every kit you load? Would love to have a user track stack saved with the routing ready to go so I wouldn't have to through everything and assign it every time a load a kit. 2. Is there anyway use Track Stacks with Kontakt can be advantageous, assuming you're using the same kind of instrument out of a sing instance of Kontakt, like a horn section for example? Would this be where a folder track stack could be helpful? 3. Would this concept for Battery work the same with Miroslav Phihamonic? Like I wanted to take all the horns out of there and have them sum to single 2 track? Thanks again!
  10. Hey guys, Quick Q about Track Stacks in Logic Pro X: I want to emulate how Logic Pro X sets up the multi output drum kits in Drum Kit Designer with Battery. As of right now I've done the following: 1. Created a multi timbral software instrument 2. Created a summing track stack of the Multi Timbral tracks 3. Loaded a multi output version of Battery 4. Created separate auxs in the mixer window, making sure each aux outputs to the bus of the summing track in the track stack 5. Routed specific cells within Battery to specific outs It's working out but anytime I trigger a cell in Battery that's routed to a direct out, audio shows up on all the meters in the track stack in the window where the track stack is held (never remember the name, is this the arrange window?) as opposed to just the aux it's routed to. However this is not the case in the mixer window as cells only show up to their appropriate outs. Any insight on how to fix this? Also would this approach work with Kontakt? I don't think it would be as useful as I typically put multiple instruments in a single instance of Kontakt to save CPU. My logic with Battery is to treat it as a single kit and emulate the producer kits in Logic Pro X. Would love any help with this. Thanks guys!
  11. Did you ever figure out what the problem was here? I'm unable to get the rewire device in Plogue with Mainstage 3. I suspect this is a 64 bit issue. Can't get to the bottom of it with Plogue. Been in their forums as well. Would love to know if you solved this!
  12. Yeah trying the sync on now when I've adjusted the meter in the patch inspector and no dice. Maybe I'm missing something here? I'm not sure... Does it depend on the file you import and potential markers or printing time signature info in Logic (just a wild guess).
  13. It's all explained in this thread for use with Logic - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=36126 And I've gotten the device to show up with Logic. This won't happen with Mainstage. Anybody have any suggestions? Outside of using Soundflower as an aggregate device? Is it possible to Rewire Plogue into Mainstage? Any help would be great. Desperate here. Thanks!
  14. Can this be altered? Doesn't seem to be effected by sync mode. Is this determined by the audio file itself? If you set the meter in Logic and then print, will Playback recognize it? Just curious how this comes into play. Thanks!
