Rebirth was discontinued a long long time ago. And almost anything can sound professional if you use it right. Reason (which basically replaced Rebirth, in spirit) is a good value for "plug ins" (in quotes because you slave it to logic, it's not really a plug in) which should give you the "rebirth" type sounds you want.

Anybody else finding this flakey? I loaded up logic and set my project to 96k, loaded up reason, and I couldn't create an aux track with rewire inputs (they were grayed out,) so I changed it back to 44k, and it worked, changed it back to 96k, didn't work. Quit both apps, launched logic again, set to 96k, launched reason again, and then it worked!?!? Any thoughts? Edit: Posting specs would probably help. PowerMac G5 dual 1.8, 3gb ram.

I'm using a Firepod with Logic 8 on a Power Mac G5 without any problems. Does the firepod work before you start logic?

You can turn them into apple loops, but that's kind of a pain. But it's the only way I know how to "automatically" adjust them. The relatively painless (non-automatic) solution is to just option drag the right side of the sample to the end of the bar. Just make sure you have the correct time stretching algorithm selected.
