  1. Trashing the prefs solved the problem. (com.apple.logic10.plist - NOT com.apple.logic.pro.cs - deleting that prevented Logic from starting up) I had to re enable Advanced Features after that to get the user templates visible in the project chooser. I end up changing custom settings quite a bit, so not too big a deal there. Thanks!
  2. Logic hangs and must be force quit after selecting File>New From Template. 10.8.1 (Thought updating from 10.8 might fix, but no. OS 14.1.2.
  3. It seems like, even though Logic can now import a 32 bit float file w/o converting it to 24, it still can't DO anything with it- I imported the Sound Devices example file to check it out, and adjusting the clip gain does not recover the peaks, as Audition/ Rx/ Ocenaudio/ etc.... do. It only lowers the level of the clipped file, as before when Logic converted to 24 bit. So I thought fine- maybe this can't be accomplished w/ region gain, and only in the file editor (which makes sense, actually) - BUT then opening the file editor for this clip, all of the functions are greyed out, so you can't do any operations on the file. Am I missing something here? Does the 32bit support need to be enabled somewhere? Otherwise the new "32 bit float support" is essentially useless if we can't use logic to manipulate the file directly- still have to do this in an external editor... sigh.... Oh- here's the link to the Sound Devices sample files- https://www.sounddevices.com/sample-32-bit-float-and-24-bit-fixed-wav-files/
  4. Tried that first. It’s still locked to the project tempo.
  5. I’m trying to get the ARP speed of an Alchemy patch to NOT sync to the project tempo. Futzed around all over the ARP tab, and for the life of me can’t get this to happen. It’s got to be simple, no?
  6. Those from the files. Want them to conform to the destination project.
  7. Neither of these suggestions does the trick. Does anyone know the actual method to accomplish what I want to do?
  8. Got this to work for one set of drum tracks, but for the life of me, I can't get it to happen again- Here's the scenario: I have tracked some freely played drums, which of course have rhythmic inconsistencies. With the new Keep/Adapt tempo function, I dragged the tracks from song 1 into a new project (set smart tempo to KEEP, set imported audio files to: ON in Smart Tempo Project Settings), and BAM! The rhythmic inconsistencies were magically ironed out and the click lines up with the drums. According to the tutorials I watched, this is the method. When I try to do this with other sets from the same session, the rhythmic inconsistencies aren't fixed. I can't for the life of me remember or figure out what I did the first time that made this work, that I'm not doing now. Thoughts?
  9. Updated to 10.4 and Sound Library Manager is showing no Apple Loop Jam Packs installed even though they are. Any idea why? Actually.. it originally showed NOTHING installed and I went ahead and installed content bit by bit (over my slow home connection, this took days) until I checked the Jam Pack loops in Library/Audio/Apple Loops and saw they are all present. Is there some kind of significant update to these loops in 10.4 that causes SLM to think they aren't installed???
  10. The TF series mixers don't have any MIDI port. They claim to have midi control, but I can't find any info on it. Other Yamaha Mixers (02R96, M7CL, LS9) will change scenes in response to midi program change messages.
  11. What exactly are you referring to in this link? There is no step 10.
  12. Arcane, but yes, that makes sense. Horrific, though. For a 16 channel project, you'd need to burn 16 auxes to create one stereo headphone mix.
  13. It doesn't seem like it, but is there a way to pan a pre fader bus send to a stereo aux? What I'm after is creating pre fader stereo headphone mixes with the ability to set up panning to each mix separate from each other, and the main mix panning.
  14. Hi- I'm having a problem with a set of drum loops I installed a while ago only partially appearing in LPX. They all appear in LP9. I've tried re-indexing loops, trashing from the user loops folder and re-installing, to no avail. Here's some screen shots- Any ideas why this is happening?
