  1. Interesting. Where are the controller assignments saved? ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.cs ? Thank you
  2. Hi, Is there a way to map to a generic MIDI controller the first 8 parameters of a selected plug in? So that the 8 knobs control the first 8 parameters of whatever plug in is currently open and selected. Combined with the custom "mapping" provided in this thread it would be quite useful even for those with "basic" midi controller. Thank you
  3. Having consistent plugins organization can also help when you start using key commands to open plugin windows. Logic has key commands that allows you to « open audio plug in insert 1, 2,...,16 » (exact name is « Open/Close Audio insert X Plug-in Window of focused Track »). If you assign a button to « open audio plugin 1 » and always load a EQ in slot 1, the button always open you EQ on the selected track. You can also assign the same midi control to multiple key commands, let say « open plugin in 1 and 2« . This way with one button you can open EQ and compressor if you always put compressor in slot 2. Key commands also exist for « open instrument plug in » and « open midi plugin 1,2,...,16 ». I have one button assigned to the first 4 slots of midi plugin for instance (I rarely have more than one midi plug in). I really like this workflow. With 4 buttons I can quickly open/close 1/ the instrument plugin, 2/all Midi plugins, 3/ 1-4 audio plugins, 4/ 5-10 audio plugins (i never use more than that....) Note that with my workflow I try to keep the same order in my plugin chain but it is not even required.
  4. Hi, I have set up my midi controller (Arturia Beatstep) to control volume on 8 tracks. 2 buttons allow me to navigate through banks by one track. Everything works great, but I currently do not have any visual feedback (no color line under the fader tracks in mixer view). I see two color lines associated with other controllers Fader Port, Logic remote that also work fine. I would like to see a third color line associated with the Arturia Beatstep. To be clear, when I change the fader bank from the Arturia, it controls a bank of 8 tracks that is different than the bank controlled by the Faderport or Logic Remote. I tried adding the Beatstep as a control surface but it is not listed and I can’t figure out how to add a “generic” control surface associated with the Beatstep. Again it all works fine and I am just looking to improve visualization. Thanks!
  5. Hi, @Twister, do you know what type of MIDI message the Axiom actually sends when you turn the knob? I am trying to replicate your settings with my Arturia MiniLab but I observe a weird behavior when I turn the knobs. Thank you,
  6. Thank you for your help. I found the error and now everything works fine.
  7. Hi, I have the exact same problem. Indeed if I bypass all control surfaces the note works fine but i soon as I uncheck this option I still get the same problem. I deleted all surfaces in Logic. Again even with no surfaces, if I don't check "bypass all surfaces" I can not play C2... Someone mentioned deleting the CS plist ?? how can I do that? Thank you for your help.
  8. +1 I found the template pretty useless, maybe it is because I do not really understand how everything works besides the pretty basci stuff ... When you see what you can do with Maschine to control Ableton Live !!
