  1. Don't you find it annoying to have the X-C-V keys all over the keyboard?
  2. Do you use the DVORAK - QWERTY command mode, or straight DVORAK?
  3. Did you have to do anything special? When you type a key command, for example the Hide function, are you hitting the literal 'H' or the QWERTY keyboard location of 'H'? (my command for turning Hide off and on is the 'H' key) My keyset is a bit ancient from Logic 8, basically. So I wonder if that has something to do with it.
  4. I didn’t, but I figured Logic receives a key based on what layout is being used. The key commands work sometimes. I’ll try re-mapping them while in DVORAK. Thanks.
  5. I use the DVORAK keyboard layout when doing non-Logic tasks. It's a bit of a pain to switch back and forth between QWERTY, so I've been trying to use Logic with DVORAK. But it seems that not all the key commands map correctly using DVORAK. For example, hitting 'H' to toggle the hide feature works fine in QWERTY, but doesn't work when hitting the corresponding 'H' in the DVORAK layout. Is using Logic with an alternative layout a bad idea?
  6. Sorry. I should have clarified. I'm using an External MIDI track to trigger a VEPro software instrument machine. I could put a region at the beginning of the session as you suggested, but I was just looking for a more elegant way to accomplish my goal.
  7. Thank you so much for you help. Apologies for my tardy reply. Your idea is great. One caveat: The specific sample library I'm using (Sample Modeling Winds) requires input of CC11 before it will generate any sound and I'd like to automatically send CC11 data upon pressing play to get around this. Your method doesn't send the data unless I physically move the knob on the mixer. Is there an object in the Environment that will send data automatically? Thank you for the help.
  8. Yes in the track inspector. But instead of volume can it be done for expression?
  9. Is there a way to set a default expression (CC11) value for a track, similar to how a default volume value can be set?
  10. It likely isn't a much different amount to pay, whether you're paying a lump sum or paying in installments. Do you have a philosophical objection to subscriptions?
  11. But it can't be a programmatic anomaly that nested track stacks just happen to work because you couldn't always do that. They wrote the program to do that, so how can it not be supported?
  12. I don't understand how a feature can be deliberately implemented but not supported.
  13. Ah! I see what you mean. It appears Logic is prioritizing the naming of the tracks over the actual mechanics of how the Logic actually works. Thanks for looking into this. Now I have to figure how to word a bug report so it makes sense.
  14. I can confirm this on my end. I'm not sure if I should consider this working as expected or if this is some kind of obscure bug. Thank you for figuring that out so quickly.
