  1. When I try to scroll left or right the clock and meters on the faders freeze. They will also freeze on an on during playback and recording sometimes. Has anyone else seen this/have a solution? I'm using Logic Pro X and El Capitan.
  2. Hi all, I was exporting some interleaved stereo audio files from Pro 9 to Pro X and I discovered something really annoying. Logic Pro 9 displays interleaved stereo like the first picture, but Pro X sees it like the second. The Pro X display (second picture) takes up an unnecessary amount of screen space. Is there a way to display interleaved in Pro X as a single wave (like Pro 9) without having to destructively split the file back down to mono. Thanks, -Jamie Marshall Pro 9 (first pic) Pro X (second pic)
  3. Thanks for all the replies. I just can't help but think this is a waste of valuable resources (see picture attached.) In fact it also makes it hard to work with because its so small and hard to see sitting farther away from me on my second screen. Every other DAW i've used simply allows me to resize my channel strips. This really screws up mixing in Logic for me. Someone out there must have an inventive work around. Thanks Again
  4. Seems like the verdict is Unsolvable. Thanks @camillo jr
  5. Just wanted to add to an old topic. This fixes all of the clips and pops that happen using Waves Tune with Logic Pro 9. Lots of people seem to be having this problem and this is the answer.
  6. Hi folks, When i turn on X-Fade drag mode and drag one region over another it puts in a cross fade. However when I nudge one region and it overlaps another no X-Fade is applied. Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution to this? Disclaimer - I'm using Logic Pro 9 Thanks Everyone, -Jamie
  7. The channel strips in the mixer don't resize. They're one size permanently. No matter how big the window is. This really sucks if you have a dedicated screen for your mixer. Is there a reasonable workaround?
  8. you can resize the mixer window, but the channel strips in the mixer window don't resize. Because of this their either too big on a screen thats sharing another window, and too small on a screen by themselves. It just makes it impossible to really have a clean looking mix. And in big mixes, it wastes a lot of time. For example, on protools, when I make the mixer window bigger, the channel strips in the window get bigger as well
  9. Hi all, I"m using logic pro 9 still. I have multiple, large (over 30 inch) screens for mixing. However logics mixer seems totally useless at this stage. The fact that I can't resize the channel stops on the mixer is debilitating. How can you resize the mixer wind so that everything fits in a large screen nicely. It seems that no matter what i do, the channel stops always stay the same size. This actually makes it harder to organize large sessions on big screens. Does anyone have a work around? Thanks, -Jamie Marshall
  10. Hi everyone, I'm using Logic Pro 9 still. When I'm the only person in the studio and I'm doing the old - hit record and pick up my instrument real fast - trick, it would be really convenient if I could "auto-punch in" and stay pouched for the rest of the song. It's kind of annoying to constantly have to drag the auto region all the way to the end of the song. Is there any quick way to set the auto-punch region from a certain point to the end of the song? Maybe using the marque? It sucks always having to zoom out and drag it to the end every time i just need the punch in feature. Note: I can't use "punch on the fly" because I need to hear different playback sections before recording starts.
  11. I'm trying to switch to using the score editor to write score in logic pro instead of other software. It's proper form to tie notes that hold over the middle of a measure. However, I hate this. I want to be able to put a half note on beat two of a measure, but logic automatically turns my half note into two quarter notes and ties them. I HATEE THISS. There has to be an option to turn off this feature somewhere. Thanks, -Jamie
  12. Hi All, This is driving me crazy. I want to import a layered snare drum .exs into my Ultrabeat kit. I can drag an drop the .exs file, but that just dumps the different layers over the whole kit. I just want my D1 on my Ultrabeat kit to play this layered sample. I can't find how to import a single layered .esx instrument to a single key. Please help. -Jamie
  13. Well thanks for the time David. I guess easy envelop control is a no go. I'll stick to compression and volume automation.
  14. Thanks Again, I'm just trying to find the best sounding/most efficient way to fix audio hits whose volume is way too low. I don't like turning the gain up destructively from the sample editor, (it always has a noticeable side effect) and I don't like using a bunch of volume automation because I feel it gets in the way of mixing/ requires excessive bouncing. I was just thinking an envelop would probably bethe best solution, but don't know a convenient/efficient way to apply it. Any thoughts?
  15. Awesome David, thanks. Is this the best way to do this? Is there another way that would let me add different custom envelopes to different parts of the same track?
