  1. hi, how was it again , (was there an again ?) , that one can prevent the default marker size to be from insertion point to all_________ the way out to the end of the song ? thanks
  2. well, that sucks, I use UAD as well, not checked with FabFilter
  3. apparently Gobbler, Native Instruments and others do not currently work under El Capitan , I got this from Gobbler this morn, I'm guessing many on this list did as well: ----------------------------------------------------- Hey Charles>, With the release of OS X 10.11 El Capitan around the corner, we’d like to strongly recommend that you NOT upgrade just yet. At this time, we cannot guarantee Gobbler 2.0 app compatibility with El Capitan. Additionally, a number of DAW and plugin publishers suggest delaying the upgrade - see statements from Slate Digital, Native Instruments, Arturia, and Steinberg. Please see the Gobbler Knowledge Base for more information. Thanks for your attention, The Gobbler Team
  4. So I guess no progress with this? Specifically I want to see the named outputs on the channels, granted double clicking on the output helps but that's one cognitive step removed from where I would like to be
  5. just wondering who has had a chance to check out both and what are your thoughts ? thanks
  6. so trying to get a grip around VCAs first of all , creating a folder stack indeed apparently creates a VCA, setting up the routing to the VCA whereas creating a summing stack instead will create a new aux and re-route the output of the tracks being "stacked" to said aux/bus In doing some research VCAs are preferred over summing stacks i.e. re-routing output to a bus because any post-fader, as indicated by the video tutorial producer, sends will not get attenuated as the fader on the respective aux is lowered, however I was not able to reproduce this. So right now my conclusion is that a VCA = a folder stack the only advantage that I see for the "create VCA" function is that I can grab any set of channels and re-route to the VCA whereas the folder/summing stack is only available on the tracks, so for example if I wanted I could group a lead vocal and its respective parallel processing channel under a VCA What am i missing ? thanks
  7. particularly concerned about my Waves bundle plugs, although that audio/midi sync is troubling ...
  8. Eric to the rescue ! , thanks
  9. I think I hit that point of no return with too many plugs loaded , its stuck on loading , is there a way of telling LPX to open without loading the plugs or with the plugs disabled so that I don't incur a project start slowdown ? thanks
  10. so anybody upgraded yet ? anything explode ? thanks
  11. I would really , really love to understand how one can draw in waveforms to correct plosives and guitar fret noise , is there an online guide somewhere ? thanks
  12. if that question is directed to me then the answer is yes but they are not without bleed
