  1. Ok, found a way to make it work: nice! Thanks for making this shortcut possible. Gotta go map some more shortcuts
  2. Lovely! Have you mapped Keyboard Maestro so that you can use this plugin to, say, load a FabFilter Pro-Q with one single shortcut, such as,oh, shift-1? If so, what kinds of delays did you set up in Keyboard Maestro to accommodate any possible delays that PlugSearch might introduce while searching?
  3. interesting. just bought plugsearch, hoping to use it with keyboardmaestro and logic pro x. fingers crossed that ctrl-clicking and option-clicking will work after i restart my machine. [edit], ok, got it to work. it had been requesting accessibility access in the background, which request i guess kinda meant that the app got slightly confused. restart -> works.
  4. Three steps in KM: - Type a Keystroke (let it type the key command for Set Pencil Tool) - Move And Click Mouse @ 0,0 from current mouse location - Type a Keystroke (let it type the key command for Set Previous Tool) Now hover over the desired spot in the Piano Roll and hit your new-fangled Ü or whatever triggers the KM macro and voila, just like magic - a note is there. Might not seem much when you just could have clicked, but may speed things up considerably when you're populating Regions like this all day. Thanks! And to me, it does feel like quite a lot, and a really useful thing to have, and a good start to getting Logic Pro X to do what I want it to do, rather than me trying to modify myself into doing what it wants me to do. Can't wait to use Keyboard Meastro more with Logic Pro X. What do you think the steps would be to also be able to use the same shortcut to delete a note? i.e. Same shortcut for creating and deleting a note?
  5. Hi. Looking at the IMGUR post. I'm seeing this. "Insert Note at Mouse". Does anyone have any idea how it is actually done? I mean, listing a bunch of macros, great, but how to do this?
  6. The only thing I've really found for now is that I'd have to use CTRL-F to load stuff into the Media Bin, and maybe do a Shift-CMD-G and /Users/blaa/LogicSmartFolder and enter to get to "that" folder and then click on it. i'm yet to get it fully working. i did get up to ctrl-f with applescript.
  7. Ok, usecase: I have app#1. I'm writing a script into it, to take all the audio files in the song, and to batch-diskwrite (bounce) them into a specific folder. I have Logic Pro X. I'm trying to figure out, how Logic Pro X could be triggered to check Smart Folder contents, and whenever a new wavefile appears, it is loaded into the Media Tab in Logic Pro X. So instead of "samples" i'm talking "audio files". Not talking some deep integration into EXS24. Basically just trying to get, let's say, 16 four-bar loops loaded into Logic Pro X automatically, when they are saved into a Smart Folder. If it helps, iTunes used to have a folder called "Add Automatically to iTunes". Any file added there, would be imported into iTunes. Similar solution for Logic Pro X, but for "currently open song".
  8. Can that Spotlight search be updated so it would work on Logic Pro X? Would be pretty neat. Thanks!
  9. Experiences with Logic Pro X & Smart Folders? Have you gotten LPX to load the samples placed in the Smart Folder, into the Media of the then-open song? If you add a new sample to the Smart Folder, is it auto-loaded into the song?
  10. Yeah, I think I'm going to spend some time fiddling with the Environment and create "a couple of things" relating to this. And another object / routing for creating +1 +2 -1 -2 octave midi-pitch-shifting so that can output C3 to a device and it becomes C4 on CH2 and maybe C5 on CH3 and stays C3 for CH1. This kind of stuff. And an octave doubler too. I'll have to get cracking at this! Thanks for the ideas.
  11. Sure it is! repeat-piano-roll.png Wow! Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. My CMD-R was not wired to Repeat-Once, but I'll set something there. Thanks again! Ok, it's now mapped to CMD-R. I might try and map it to CMD-D (D for Duplicate). Thanks also for the screenshot. I have not gotten a "this is how you do it" response to this from anywhere, esp not from LPX FB groups.
  12. Thanks for your response. While this definitely works (and is what I use for midi-only outboard-gear-only recording when I need to create a wavefile of the full song, with processing.. This kind of "print the efx + processing + volume settings" wavefile is not necessarily ready to be "put back in". I'm hoping to record the synths dry, with the External Instrument - which does not seem to be supported with Logic Pro X. So the solution is to create an Audio Track, set it to the input, arm it, press record and record the results into a wavefile, then move the effect chain + routing from the External Instrument track to the new Audio Track. That's fine. I was just expecting there to be a faster cooler better way, which would have enabled me to "convert" an External Instrument track into an Audio Track, (and, before that, duplicate the External Instrument track and use that for the next parts) without fiddling. I can easily modify my external midi gear Logic template so that it already has a couple of audio tracks ready and wired for receiving audio. It's no hassle. I just wasn't sure if that was the only way to do it in LPX Thanks for all the responses!
  13. This does not seem to be available in the Piano Roll window - instead in the Arrangement view. I was hoping to do duplication while in a fullscreen Piano Roll window
  14. okay, i'll see what i can do. maybe i could do summing stacks with external instruments that just send out midi, and only one of them receives audio. maybe that would work?
  15. But the thing is, there can be no Summing Stack with Environment Midi Instruments. Only Folder Stack is enabled, Summing Stack disabled. Unfortunately.
