  1. Yes, you are probably right Fisherking Thanks!
  2. Hey Atlas, that is the Logic version I am running and it’s the latest
  3. Hello All, After 10 years with a 12 Core Mac Pro, I took the plunge and I upgraded to a 2019 16 Core Mac Pro. These are the specs: 3.2 GHz 16-Core Intel Xeon W 32 GB 2933 DDR4 RAM OS Big Sur 11.6 LPX 10.6.3 So while it's a blazing fast machine overall I could not help but notice that some plugins take longer to load than they did on my 12 Core running High Sierra. And I don't mean during a session with tons going on. I mean just creating a new software instrument track and then adding one software instrument. On some, I even see the spinning beach ball wheel until they open. I know the RAM is low, but this was what came stock with this machine. I intend to add more, but I was never going to buy RAM from Apple. Could this be due the plugins not being 11.6 ready? Which would have less to do with the processor on the computer correct? I had two Arturia plugins crash Logic upon opening them and when I reached out to Arturia as to why this was happening they said: "The V Collection 3 is a quite old (2012) version of our software instruments, and won't be supported by Big Sur. So because of that, and the fact that the V Collection 3 hasn't been tested on this recent OS, we cannot guarantee that it will work." Strange because there were only 2 plugins out of the V Collection that acted this way, the rest seem to work. Tons of plugins do open up immediately, but it just seems more obvious on this new machine when the ones that don't open immediately...well don't open quick enough. Logic shows a loading plugins bar as they open. Any ideas what could be causing this? Definitely a slight blue ball that this would be happening on such a beast of a computer. Thank you so much for your help Logan
  4. Thanks so much Des! I appreciate you taking the time to do this. And yes I see the track being greyed out but since I was able to play and hear sound I figured it wasn't actually being turned off. But to be clear, am I getitng the same end result as current logic users with the latest version? I am asking becuase I never see the plug being reloaded? Sorry for reasking if you answered above. Thanks man!
  5. My apologies, try this..On Off Button Issue LPX 10.4.4.zip
  6. Here is on software instrument track with an ESP on it. Please let me know you need anything from me. Thanks! On Off Button Issue LPX 10.4.4.logicx.zip
  7. Thank you for your reply Des, Yes precisely, when the button is off I can play the track and still hear it like normal. And when I turn the track back on after it has been off I do not see the plug in reload as it does nomally from how I see it work on laptop when testing.
  8. Hello wonderful Logic people I have a question about the normal behavior of the on and off button? As basic as it is I haven't really needed to use it thus far. But since my template is now getting larger and more taxing on my computer opening it is taking some time. So my question is.. How come when I option click on the on/off button to deavivate the track nothing happens, meaning with the button off I can still hit record and hear the sound. And the region does not get greyed out like it does when I do this on my laptop version of Logic? Also, I know I have to option click to truly deactivate the track. What is supposed to happen when you just click the on/off button without clicking option? When I do this on my laptop which has the latest version of Logic it works normally. When I turn the button on I see the plug in re-load quickly. Please don't tell me it's because I am using Logic 10.4.4 I can't update Logic any futher because my 12 core is a dinosaur and I can only update to Sierra 10.12.6 I don't use my laptop to work on even though I have a copy of Logic on it. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong, it would be great to have this functionality on my work computer. Thanks so much! Logan
  9. Sorry about that, I didn't think anyone would care abou this issue lol Anway, this was caused by the new Controller Assignments that I added to Logic for my TEC breath controller. I should have created a new ZONE in the assignments, then the KeyLab Essential 88 Mackie Control assignments aren't altered. It was sending Logic into a tizzy. This was at least my way of fixing it, the other posts above probably work as well!
  10. Hello, So am not sure what is going on since this is the 1st time I have ever seen this behavior. Please see the attched video showing the Logic arrange page flickering and blinking incessantly. The weird thing is that I can move the mouse and select menus like normal etc. The only thing I recently started to mess with is the controller assignment menus because I am trying to get the sliders and fader of my Arturia Keylab 88. I have started to guess and click on things beacuse the Arturia isn't responding correctly so I suppose this may have started to confuse logic. I have deleted contoller assignments etc. But I also tried to bypass all controller surfaces and that is also not helping. I have also restarted both Logic and my computer and unplugged the Arturia. Also rebuilding defaults hasn't helped either. Anone have any ideas as to what is going on and how I can get Logic back to normal? Thank you so much for you time and attention! -B https://www.dropbox.com/s/w6fr702v3r11xl7/Logic%20Issue.mov?dl=0
  11. Thank you Des, You've just demonstrated why they always said that Logic guys are smarter than PT guys I bought it so many years ago and it definitley wasn't that price, it's a great product but that is ridiculous. Thanks man!
  12. Hello all, I'm still doing all my composing work in Logic and then bouncing out the files to finish in PT. I have very little experience with the audio recording side of Logic so I end up I PT where I am very comfortable. I am however slowly trying to get my audio skills in logic up to par with the my current midi skills in LPX. One issue I recently hit upon and I have searched both Google and this forum to no avail for an answer as it relates to using Serato Pitch n' Time Pro with Logic. In Pro Tools I use it as an audio suite plugin to pitch up or down a final 2 track when needed. Usually by a couple half steps and it still keeps the integrity of the audio. Or a single audio track as well. But I usually default to elastic audio for that. Is there a way to use this plug in in Logic? I am assuming when I installed it I chose the AU version as well, assuming there is one. I appreciate any feedback any of you may have. Thanks! B
