  1. Read on another forum that it works with class compliant interfaces.
  2. Found a fix! I had the "Displays have separate spaces" option unchecked in System Preferences. Seems this was screwing with Logic's new feature. After checking it again, all I need to do is load an old project, exit full screen mode on my main display (which works now!), and drag the window up to my second display. Let me know if it helps! Also posted this on GS, in case others have the same problem.
  3. Doesn't seem to be working with my FW Ensemble. Anything special you had to do?
  4. Any idea where one might find a list of compatible devices? Very curious to know what the compatible devices are as well. Hoping (but not holding my breath) that my FW Ensemble makes the cut. I know Apogee and Logic have had a close history.
  5. I am, you should file one as well: http://www.apple.com/feedback/logic-pro.html Luckily, I still have 10.0.7 on a different computer so I can revert back.
  6. I'm experiencing this as well, major bummer. Would absolutely love for this feature to work with older projects.
  7. Ah, thank you! Yeah, it seems like that's the work around.
  8. Thanks for the reply! The issue I'm having lies with Logic's default routing when creating summing stacks. It looks like if the tracks are all routed to an aux already, creating a summing stack will use that aux as the summing track using the bus that is already assigned. If no aux exists, Logic will use a new bus. In my template, I have all my music tracks routed to an aux using bus 64. If I want to create a summing stack for my strings, for example (to process them together), Logic will use bus 64 to send the strings to the summing stack track, replacing the music aux I already had in place. So it looks like in my case, I'll need to keep doing what I was doing in Logic 9, and just manually route the tracks to a bus and route the newly created aux to my music aux. I can then use a folder stack for organizing, if necessary
  9. I compose to picture, and often do both sound design and music within a session. I route sound effects and music to different busses, which get summed to separate aux tracks for individual control (and so I can apply bus compression to the music without affecting the sound design). However, when I create a summing track stack in one of these "groups", the summing stack replaces the aux channel that the tracks were routed to. Is there a way to change this behavior? Or maybe a better way to do this? I come from Professional Tools, so I learned some habits that don't correlate with Logic's way of doing things. Thanks!
  10. I was hoping it would be something as simple as that, thank you!
  11. Thanks Eric! So if an audio track has a bus assigned as an input first before I send/output to that bus, it won't create the aux? Alternatively, I could set the environment bus objects up as part of my template. Much thanks, I'll look into it more when I have a free moment
  12. The first question to ask yourself would be "Do I like the sound of these room mikes for this song?" From there, you can figure out if they'd be useful as an effect, to blend the kit together, to gate sidechained from the snare, etc. You don't have to use them if they don't sound good anywhere.
  13. Hi all, Is there a way to stop Logic from creating an aux track whenever I assign a bus? Perhaps it's just a workflow thing held over from using Pro Tools, but I find myself wanting to bus audio or software instruments to another audio track fairly often. It's not the end of the world, obviously, but a slight annoyance deleting extra aux tracks. Thanks! While I'm newly registered, I've found a ton of answers here while learning Logic. Just couldn't find this one, unfortunately.
