  1. You're an absolute diamond! Thank you, I'll let you know if I manage to get them running ok!
  2. Hiya guys, how are you?! I recently upgraded from Logic 7 to 9.1.8 using an upgrade and the free software update. Of course I'm loving all the new features and having fun. BUT I seem to have lost a lot of the settings I used to use so much; for example, the drum & percussion settings on the ES2, the trance & techno arp on the ES2, the china synth on the Evoc 20, the wooden beans on the Sculpture.... A LOT of settings are missing. I was going to go back over my old, backed-up tracks and copy the settings but this is VERY tedious for anybody, let alone somebody with a health condition! When I look in my applications, the icon for Logic 7 is crossed out. Surely there is something I can do? Thanking you in advance, Mel
  3. Just wanted to say, I'm up & running- can't believe I have my toys back! Thanks very much for all your help!
  4. Ok, I think I'm with you now. If I get the boxed 9 update, I then need to get a free software update from 9 to 9.1.8 for it to run smoothly on Lion 10.7.5? Is there a link on this site for that upgrade? (I will do a search, I'm not that lazy, lol). It's not the Logic content that bothers me but upgrading the operating system is a headache I can do without! Thanks very much, Mel
  5. I can get a boxed DVD for £60. The full download is $199. The reviews for the boxed DVD said that 'It won't work out of the box with Lion unless you get updates'. That's why I haven't bought it. This is why I'm confused. Also I don't really want masses of stuff on my computer- logic takes up so much space in itself. It sounds like I need to speak to Apple. Thanks everybody for your responses
  6. Hello! I'm new here, I've been producing since 2004 using Logic 7, full, boxed version, on a power mac G4, running Tiger. Then I got upset and blew up the G4 I now have a MacBook Pro running Lion 10.7.5. Obviously Logic 7 won't run on it. I want to upgrade to Logic 9 using a boxed DVD upgrade, which is the cheapest option (I'm on a really tight budget) BUT some of the reviews say it won't work on Lion, I have to install updates. Is this true? Do I need to upgrade to Mountain Lion? I'm hearing that there are bugs when running Logic 9 with ML. Would it be better to sell my mother on eBay so I can get the full version? (Please forgive the bad joke). I'd really appreciate it if somebody could clear up the confusion! I'm sure these things should be simple but they rarely are. Thanks, Mel
