  1. Yeah it'd probably make things much easier Main problem is that the C4 Pro doesn't have Memory so you'can't assign stuff on an Old Mac OS-9 rig and then hook up the C4 pro to your Mac-Intel This is Mainly Why i should have gone with a Behringer BCR but the Mackie C4 pro was cheaper (liquidation) but just have to do this tutorial Once and you're done
  2. in logic u click on the left “logic pro X” then select “setup” if logic hasnt detected already your C4 Pro click oin “new” and then “scan all models” Select C4 (there is no pro) so u use the C4 now u will see a C4 icon click on it and on the left pane make sure that u have “display mode” to “value” and not to “name” now close the window make an instance of a Plugin Effect, i suggest a 3rd party EQ, on a track now on the C4 pro press and hold the “chan strip” button in the “assignement” rectangle while holding “chan strip” u will see “plugin mixer” on the second row from the bottom press on it and let go of “chan strip” now on the top screen of the C4 pro u will see a the name or acrnym of the plugin Press(not turn) the knob right under the name now u will see all the row”s LCD screen display all the EQ parameters the layout of most plugin on the C4 pro are NOT ideal u can chage that with app called Plistedit Pro its a no limitation Demo install it and now go back to logic use the Logic only preset browser(not the plugin’s preset browser) click on it and select “save as Default” this will create the “#default” file still on the Logic browser u then select “Save as…” and save over that “#default”” file it will ask if u want to save over that already existing file Say yes now with the finder go to Macintosh HD>Users>probablyyourname>Library>Audio>preset there u will see plugin names go to your plugin and open the “CSParameterOrder.plist” file with Plistedit pro In there u will see a pointing down arrow called root and right under there will be a “contyrolsurfaceparameterOrder” click on its arrow and now u can see from zero to whatver number of parameters now change the order of these by click and drag note zero counts as the C4 Pro”s Top Row left knob now this is the part where maybe there is a better way to do it but the way I do it is in plistedit i do File>save and then go back to logic and remove the plugin instance and re-instantiate it the chages u made are now displaying as u want them on your C4 Pro if anyone has a better way to do it and/or knows how to use the knob pressing please chime in PS u might have to tweak the resolution of the knob twisting i had a problem where i had to turn the knobs 5 to 6 time just to go from 0 to 100% u can fix this here
  3. hi i plan to buy a behringer BCR2000 http://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Computer-Audio/Desktop-Controllers/BCR2000/p/P0245 I would like to assign knobs on 2 to 3 different insert FX on the same track. each of them would have their own knobs on the BC-control i would also like ,during mixing, to be able to control one track's insert FX but being able to control the insert FX of another un-selected track is this Possible ?
