  1. Update: I was wrong! (And it's not the first time one would say:-) As Atlas007 said, Inserting the I/O plugin on the Stereo Out channel and setting its output to 9-10 and its input to 1-2 did the job! Thanks Atlas007.
  2. Thanks for your help Atlas. And I wish you a Happy 2024! The I/O plug-in unfortunately doesn’t solve the “issue”. It looks like the chord library editor is not “tied” to Logic Pro and is routed to the MacOs stereo output. To demonstrate that assomption, I did this on my iMac: I created a new Logic Pro project. I chosen “System settings”in the Audio preferences I created a Steinway Grand Piano software instrument track I disabled this midi track and set its output to No output so no nothing would come in or out of this track (unless the record button is enabled, which is not here). Now I created a MIDI region which is automatically disabled (the region is gray-ed out) because the track is set to Off. I double-clicked the midi region and opened the Score editor. I dragged a chord diagram and chosen a chord in the library. I Hit the playback button and… I can hear the chord through my iMac speakers! Remember, the track is set to Off and the midi region is gray-ed out. So It really looks like the chord library editor is a utility that is not “driven” by Logic Pro audio system and its output is simply routed to the MacOs stereo output.
  3. Hi! I have a project where all my channels are routed to my Output 9-10 channel. When I press the Playback button in the Chord Library Editor to audition the selected chord, I can hear it only via the Stereo Out channel. Is there a way to route it to any another output than the Stereo Out? Thanks!
  4. Sorry, I don’t get it miros. You inserted an empty region somewhere? Or created an empty midi (or audio) track and inserted an empty region in ?
  5. Oh well, it's better not to try to eat a piece of your Apple dock in any case. Must be really difficult to digest! Thanks for the pics of the dock and the screen settings Holger. The difference is rather noticeable I would say. I hesitate between a new M3 24" iMac and a combo Mac Mini/3 party monitor solution but this HiDPI/PA248CVR settings makes me seriously lean towards this option... Thanks a lot for your time!
  6. Wow Holger! The difference is stunning on this PA248CVR Proart monitor. Very very near from the Retina quality. And thanks for the detailed technical infos. And may I ask you to post a screenshot of the icons in the duck? I’m curious to see what they look like!
  7. Seems very cool Holger! According to this article ,the terminal commands to activate HiDPI are: sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist DisplayResolutionEnabled -bool true To de- activate HiDPI: sudo defaults delete /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist DisplayResolutionEnabled Too bad I can't test this HiDPi hack right now since I just returned an Asus 24" Full HD monitor because I was not satisfied with the "blury-ish" fonts/icons/image quality... Very easy via Terminal it seems!
  8. Thanks for your help Holger. Ok but I’ll get bigger text and image using HiDPI on a full HD monitor, isn’t it?
  9. Thanks for the suggestion David and for pointing me in the right forum! This budget monitor seems interesting. I tried to find a 4k/24 inches but there are not so many out there and they are now so much expensive at least here in Quebec. So, I’ll keep an eye on this one. Thank you!
  10. Hi! My next mac will be an M2 Mac mini. I would like to connect it to a HDMI monitor. So, which 24 inches monitor should I get to have the same or near the same beautiful image quality I get on my 2015 13 inches 1280x800 Macbook Pro Retina display? I don’t want a 27 for some reasons. 24 inches will be perfect. Thanks for your help!
  11. Do you see a waveform in the audio track editor? If so, scroll up or down until you see the note pitches. Still not visible? De-activate / re-activate flex pitch in the track editor menu bar and scroll up/down until you see the pitches. BTW, are you on the first track of a track stack by any chance? If so, you have to select a track in the stack to use flex pitch.
  12. I would create a new user account, start a new Logic project, insert a couple of Apple loops and see what's going on with iPad Remote. If everything's fine, then you have a potential problem with the Logic preferences files or something is wrong in your original user account. If otoh the problem persists, I would call the Apple support.
  13. I would try to do a marquee selection from the beginning of the track to the end of the region and perform a Bounce Region In Place and choose Include Audio Tail.
  14. Say I create a project, save it, do some stuff like record a guitar region, add a Drummer track, a synth bass part, put some third party plugs on the master bus, save the project again and finally save it as a template. If my initial project was corrupted for any reasons but I didn’t encounter any problems while I was building it, then I have a corrupted template, without knowing it. So, all projects created using this template will be potentially corrupted.
