  1. My current workflow for drum editing is detect transients, clean them up (adding missing ones and removing extra ones), flex quantize, use the audio to midi drum replacer feature. Is there any way to use the drum doubler feature and have it limit itself to the transients I have now, instead of having it try to re-detect them?
  2. Is there any way to have auto crossfades between adjacent, non overlapping regions? My usual workflow is track, trim, assemble bar-lenght sections Lego style, select them all, drag a tiny bit on the left/right to trigger the crossfade over overlapping regions function to get rid of clicks. Cubase has this feature since time immemorial, the Pro Tools way is select all regions, batch fade.
  3. First, try the SSD upgrade. They're cheap enough that they're basically a no brainer at this point. Before putting the SSD in my main work machine I tried installing Snow Leo on my ancient 2006 white Macbook on it and it felt like a brand new, top of the class laptop.
  4. That just instances a new Superior Drummer on every track, each one eating RAM and CPU. On other DAWs midi tracks just have input and output settings, pretty straightforward. Isn't there a way to do that? I tried the environment without much success. The one workaround is merging the midi tracks, but it's strange there isn't a more flexible way to route MIDI inside Logic.
  5. I used the replace or double drum track on my multitrack drums to generate MIDI for triggering. I now have the 6 tracks (kick, snare, four toms) on 6 software instruments tracks (this is wrong already, as they could be normal midi tracks but Logic does this as default). How do I route them all to a single instance of Superior Drummer on another instrument track? Thanks. Also, can I use the replace or double track function without it defaulting to opening an EXS24 automatically?
  6. Title says it all, is there a way to record something in a swipe comp take folder without it erasing the comp so far?
  7. +1 on the excellent Airwindows stuff, and Post Fader Inserts are crucial to the correct operation of SoundRadix Pi as well. Pi is the coolest mix plugin to come along in ages and once you try it it's really hard to do without. The aux workaround means ending up with a mixer with twice the tracks, unacceptable. PFI are the feature LPX needs the most at the moment.
