  1. Hi, Are you getting this from each channel independently? (If you mute all but one and try all of them you still get this?) Also whats your routing on each track, are you using bus sends and what are the outputs on each track? I haven't been on logic 9 for years, but i remember for example on ultrabeat you had to turn off the drum machine in the plugin otherwise it would play twice and that drove me mad for a few hours.
  2. Hellllllo, So i'm trying to work out how to make this kind of sound, it sounds like a kind of slap back delay + reverb possibly with a tempo synched pre-delay. The synth sound itself is another matter but i feel like i can get something close. The sound i'm looking for is the synth that comes in at around 5.30 in this track: If anyone has any ideas of how i can re-create this kind of slap back sound, that would be great. i3rooksy
  3. Hello, I was just wondering whether anyone had any views on how i might be able to achieve a setup similar to that described in my above post. I3rooksy
  4. Hello, Sorry to resurrect this post again, but i have a related question. I have an iMac with a 1TB HD which i use primarily with Logic Pro X, i also have a MacBook Pro which has Logic Pro X installed but only a 128GB SSD. Although Logic Pro X is installed on my MacBook, i do not use it for 2 key reasons: 1, I do not know (nor have i really tried to find out) how to move projects easily between systems, so that i can pretty much pick-up a project on my MacBook after i have been fiddling with it a few minutes earlier on my iMac 2, The 128 SSD on my MacBook is not really enough to hold all the patches, synths, additional content that i have for Logic I have bought a 1TB external hard drive which i was planning to use pretty much just for the purposes of Logic production. Being slightly OCD, in an ideal world i would have the Logic application + all related content / projects etc. on the external drive and just plug it into each device as i wish to use it. No doubt this is not a great idea and possibly even won't work, alternatively i want to essentially have the basic Logic application on each device with projects / all libraries / additional software etc. on the external drive so that i can just move between devices by plugging in the external hard drive. Is anyone able to advise whether any of the above is possible, whether its a fools errand and there is a better / more simple way to achieve what i want and whether this would help me in both points 1 & 2. Regards I3rooksy
  5. Do you want to know how to get the swirling sound or the thud sound? Sorry i have taken so long to respond! Primarily i am looking at how to create the 'thud' sound. However now you mention it... The swirling sound might be good to know too!
  6. I am still having trouble recreating this if anyone has any ideas!
  7. Hello guys, I have tried to recreate an effect from a song I have been listening to recently in Logic Pro X (I am more used to LP9 and have only just upgraded to X). It is sort of like a rapid EQ sweep culminating in a 'thud'. The Song is Protoculture - Perpetual Motion (Original Mix) You can find the effect of this video at about 3:04. I have browsed / asked questions in this forum before and always seem to get the correct info so any help would be greatly appreciated! Logic Pro X 10.0.7 OS X 10.9.4 iMac Late 2012 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 (Quad Core) 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3
  8. Some people have mentioned using high pass filters but again it is not quite the sound I am looking for as per the link.
  9. Hello. I want to add a dynamic to my track so that it sounds like it is being played from a Basement, or the sound you have when you are outside a club and it sounds 'Boxy'. An example of the exact sound i want is at exactly 1 minute into this track: I will want to automate it to make it come back into a crisp sound again. I have played with cutoff of synths etc and although it seems to do a relatively similar thing. It is not quite the sound i am looking for! Any help would be much appreciated. I use Logic Pro 9.
