  1. I have ONE project template that has this issue, so I must've hit a button somewhere without realizing it. And to save myself from rebuilding the entire template, see if you can help me When I have a region highlighted, and I move it, my view immeidately snaps to the front of that region. Especially frustrating when I am zoomed way in and just need to nudge a region slightly forward/backward but then lose my place entirely. Thanks!
  2. I remove it bc I don't need to add anything to the Aux. Just need the bus there for the sidechain
  3. Notice how in the first image I get no signal, and in the second one I am. Same compressor, on the same track, set to the same bus
  4. Of course, but it's not showing me that i'm getting a signal from the bus in the first place, so I haven't even started adjusting the settings
  5. I have this weird issue with my C1 Comp and busses that I have set up for sidechaining, where about 50% of the time, the busses just won't activate. I have no idea why and I need to fix this, I have some workarounds but really it should just work by itself. I must have a setting wrong somewhere. Example: I have 4 audio tracks, all sending to Bus 1. Then, sidechaining a 5th audio track with the bus from the first 4. When the first two tracks are playing, I can see the C1 and sidechain working, but when I play tracks 3-4, nothing happens. The C1 is just blank, no input from the Bus at all (even tho all tracks are sending to Bus 1). No clue whats happening! Images attached
  6. Thanks all Eric, the clap method wouldn't help here because even when I sync up the very beginning, it gradually floats out of sync by the end. I think this is an issue with the Facetime camera, or how Skype is saving video, using the variable bit rate must be messing things up. When i do this same process but record video on my iPhone rather than Skype, I don't have these sync issues I will try Flex Time, usually that will warp the audio and I don't want that
  7. Hi all, hoping I can find a converting solution that will solve this problem of mine in the future. I produce podcasts, and we've been recently getting into video as well. I have one client who is not the most tech savvy of all, and as such I'm running into issues with the rates of their video and audio files, and can't get them into sync. Scenario: - A client is recording video calls via Skype. Skype records one host track and one guest track, audio and video. - My client has a co-host, so in order to capture audio for both of their mics, she is simultaneously recording in GarageBand - My goal is to line up Skype's recorded video, with GarageBand's recorded audio, and put them in sync so I can start mixing - The Skype video and audio tracks line up perfectly - The Skype video and GarageBand audio tracks do not line up - by the end of the recording, the GB audio is a few seconds behind the video I don't audibly hear anything wrong with the sample rates. Upon inspecting the files in QuickTime, both the Skype and GB audio are set to 44.1 as I intended. Yet the audio is still out of sync. My guess is that Skype records using a VFR or VBR, but now I need to convert the video from Skype so that I can sync it up. I tried using HandBrake to convert the video file itself (no audio attached) to a constant 29.97fr, but this kept the video at the same length and thus still out of sync with GB's audio. How can I fix this? Screenshot attached (GB audio in red, Skype audio in blue).
  8. I'll check the meters Dave. But this is INDEED a mono track, and it's producing the effect. I solo it and still hear the strange panning sound. Eric, the bus is being used for a sidechain only, there is no open Aux track for it.
  9. The same that are on multiple other tracks, that don't have the issue (img attached)
  10. I'm noticing something strange when duplicating tracks, I think it has to do with an issue with mono vs. stereo tracks The setting: I create a track for a mono voice, get the plug-ins set exactly how I want. I duplicate the track. I drag a new stereo audio file into that new track to keep the same plug-ins. When I do that, I get this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/o2f074owra2ry95/Weird%20stereo%20effect%20example.mp3?dl=0 Any idea what the hell is going on? In 10.2, whenever I duplicated a track regardless of if a new audio file was mono or stereo, everything stayed the same
  11. I appreciate your lengthy response, but I don't see a reason to add more RAM when this setup was working just fine with El Capitan. After a bit more experimenting, I figured out the issue (or, I'm closer to the issue) The way I have my routing set up, I am sending out 5-6 and cycling back in 5-6, basically to allow me more headphone jacks from the MOTU. This also allows me to send the full Logic audio through Soundflower to OBS. I deleted these extra bus tracks, and the delay and the clicks/pops went away immediately. Now I don't know if that's due to removing the extra bussing, or removing Soundflower, or removing the Aggregate Device set up, but all i can say is that it worked. Both with video and without. So, this leads me to believe that there is an issue with Soundflower, an issue with Aggregate devices, or, having the extra bussing is just too much for the CPU to handle now that Sierra is installed. Sierra, by the way, is leaking memory all over the damn place. As I type this, the only app I have open is Safari, and my RAM is down to 9GB free.... 7GB being used just for Safari?!
  12. Bump - really need some help here. The video stream and the saved video are perfectly in sync, and has a few clicks and pops. We recorded again last night and the delay while recording was REALLY bad. Almost every plug-in was turned off. No bussing.
