  1. In the past when I've had this problem I've noticed no difference between realtime and offline bouncing. I've written to DMG and in my experience they are very responsive
  2. I just tried bouncing it down with no plugins on the master track--same problem. I have 3rd party plugins on the vocal track, but they are very common, widely used plugins. I just tried bouncing it down with no plugins on the vocal track--this time it seems to have come out right, and after some experimenting I think it may be DMG Audio's Equilibrium that's casing the problem--I'll do some further tests
  3. Recording delay is set to zero samples I appreciate any efforts to make sense of this. I'm at a loss to explain it
  4. Thank you, I'll try that. But why should that make a difference? I wonder if maybe it has something to do with the tempo information in each track? yesterday it happened again--I took an old project, recorded a new vocal, and when I bounced it down to the vocal was out of sync. When I reimported all the files into a new project, logic had inserted three beats worth of space in the front of the track, and the vocal started late.
  5. No, just laziness. But just now I did a new vocal--deleted the old vocal track altogether, made a new audio track, recorded the vocal, and bounced it down--no automation at all. The vocal once again was about three beats behind where it should be. I'm completely at a loss to explain this, but it's sure infuriating Edit: I just recalled--I'm using automation instead of trimming so I can see what happens when I reimport the file. And what happens is logic has inserted @ three beats of.....???? so the vocal starts late. I have to trim the track and than manually line it up
  6. I simply can't understand why this happens. I make a song in logic--maybe five tracks. When I bounce it down to an mp3, invariably now one of the track is out of sync. Sometimes drums, sometimes vocal, sometimes bass or guitar: But one of the tracks will be delayed by a good bit. It's completely strange, because when I play the song in logic, everything is fine. It use to happen rarely--I posted about it years ago. But since the latest update, it happens every single time. The only way to deal with it is to bounce over single track, one at a time, to individual aiff files, then open a new project, import each file, and manually line them up. Then I can bounce project down to an mp3. Can someone lease tell me why this is gong on? It's driving me nuts, and I can't think of any possible explanation. It happens every time, and it happens on different tracks--sometimes on an ez drummer track, sometimes on a Logic drummer track, sometimes on an audio track Below is an example in a quick demo song I did. It's terrible. Bu you can hear that the vocals come in late, when they should come in with the guitar at 12 seconds WTF??? and then here is what the project looks like in Logic--you can see where the vocal SHOULD be coming in http://spokeshave.net/music/logicgrab.jpeg
  7. No I haven't tried that. One of the problems I've been noticing is that I CAN'T disable the flex--I switch it off and it turns itself back on. I gave up on this and just re-recorded the track. But this is an infuriating problem and I wish I knew how to stop it. It happens randomly.
  8. No, off line bouncing, and just to be clear this doesn't usually it happen, it just suddenly happens now and then for no clear reason. I think it's related to Flex, maybe. Right now I'm sitting here blindly trying to get this excellent bass take to line up by moving it bouncing, moving it bouncing. ' Stupid. There must be a solution here
  9. I've had this problem several times: it's extremely frustrating. here's what happens I bounce a project, and one track gets out of sync--it comes in late. It play just fine in the DAW, but when bounced it comes in late. I'm working on a song with eight tracks. When I bounced the song, the bass was delayed by about one beat. I've tried restarting the computer, restarting Logic: the aif file remains out of sync. I've bounced the individual bass track, and reimported it to logic, and it's still out of sync--it's like Logic added some silence to the track when it bounced it. But again it plays perfectly normally in the DAW. In the past when this has happened, I've actually cut some silence off the front of the track and then managed to sync it by dragging it in place, but it's an absurd trial and error process. It's happened three times now Why does this happen? Any ideas? I'm using the latest version of logic 10.2, and ElCapitan, but this has happened before, on Yosemite

    My bad: thank you

So I quit logic, deleted the preferences file from my user library, and dragged Logic X to the trash. Then I restarted in recovery mode, ran permissions repair, rebooted, and reinstalled Logic X To my surprise, it opened up the last project I had running, and it opened with the new plugin organization I had set up, Clearly, I did not delete the right file. Does anyone know where Logic is storing the info about the plugin organization? I still can't "nest" folders. I create a new folder, hit return, then a second folder with :test after the name, and all it does it put the second folder after the first--it doesn't put the new folder inside the first one, which is what I want it to do. I really think I need to delete whatever fill is storing my Plugin manager settings

What you mention sounds right. What you put after the colon will be the subfolder. Add another colon and another name after that and you'll get yet another subfolder. Works great. J. Did that and it doesn't work for me, don't know why? Also I renamed my "favorites" folder "1favorites" and it made a new folder and kept the old one, whch I now can't delete. I'm reinstalling logic

This does't seem to work for me--I create a new folder, then a second folder with the same name plus a colon and the subname. I'm probably doing something really dumb or missing something really obvious?

That's It!!?? Just hit return? I feel like either the stupidest person in the world or irritated that such an "un mac-like" approach made it this far. The reason I didn't hit return is...habit., after thousands nay ten of thousands of hours working in mac os. Thank you for all the help--I may have licked the problems by deleted the pref and rebuilding the AUcache

I have that file but I have no idea what to do with it once I locate it! The permission ar set so that I can read and write, "everyone" can read only, and "fetching" can read only
